Documenting action with precision.<\/strong><\/h4>\nToday, we are making our Annual Report 2025 publicly available in English<\/a> and in French<\/a>. It is always a significant moment for us. This year, we completed it early. Amid reduced<\/strong> global funding and increasing<\/strong> fragility in rural areas, documenting our work precisely matters more than ever.<\/p>\n2025 was a year of consolidation and scale. Through the Primary Medical Care<\/a> programme, more than 13,000 consultations<\/a> and treatments<\/a> were delivered in villages without permanent doctors. Twenty-one<\/a> Kawan Sehat health agents continued to provide structured, supervised care. Antibiotic protocols were reinforced to prevent septic complications<\/a>. Every case was documented<\/a>. Every referral was tracked.<\/p>\nWater security progressed significantly. Across multiple sites, we secured 350,000 litres<\/strong> of clean water storage for communities facing prolonged dry seasons. In Laindatang, the 114.5-cubic-metre<\/a> gravity-fed reservoir became operational. In Hambarita, ferrocement tanks<\/a> strengthened household access to safe water. Infrastructure here is not abstract. It determines survival during drought.<\/p>\nEnergy access expanded. Between 3,000 and 4,000 children<\/strong> now have access to solar lighting<\/a> for study and safety, including SolarBuddy Junior lamps. SDN Mbajik school was fully electrified<\/a> through a solar installation that benefits students, teachers and nearby families.<\/p>\nMalaria work followed a clear medical logic in two distinct phases. First, a comprehensive baseline study<\/a> was conducted in a highly endemic region. This was scientific field research analysing environmental exposure, transmission dynamics, diagnostic gaps and community knowledge. The data provided<\/a> a structured understanding of the disease burden.<\/p>\nSecond, the East Sumba Malaria Project<\/a> deployed operational prevention measures. Giant educational billboards<\/a> were installed, microscopy training<\/a> strengthened diagnostic accuracy<\/a>, full training days<\/a> were conducted in multiple villages, and indoor residual spraying<\/a> was implemented. The objective was practical: to reduce<\/strong> transmission and improve<\/strong> early-detection capacity at the community level.<\/p>\nFour new prevention campaigns<\/a> were launched, addressing tobacco, alcohol, waste management, and\u00a0HIV awareness<\/a>, reaching\u00a0nearly 400,000 people<\/strong> through structured healthy-lifestyle<\/span>\u00a0education programmes.<\/p>\nBehind every page of this report stand more than 85 volunteers<\/strong>, 15 local staff members<\/strong>, and a governance model in which 93 to 95 per cent<\/a> of funds are allocated directly to field programmes.
