Alex’s swift intervention and expert medical assistance decisively saved the victim’s life. Their primary medical care program in rural communities is dedicated to equipping individuals with essential healthcare skills, effectively preventing complications and ultimately saving lives.<\/h1>\n

The Primary Medical Care Program Provides Essential Emergency Medical Aid, Including Venomous Snake Bite Treatment and Wound Stabilization.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This other “Photo of the Day<\/strong>“<\/a> shows Alex making a surgical incision<\/strong> on the foot of a young man in Hambarita<\/strong> who had been bitten by one of the area’s deadliest snakes<\/a><\/strong>. Alex and the Fair Future Foundation team’s quick action<\/strong>\u00a0allowed the young man to receive medical care<\/strong> and medication quickly<\/strong>, saving his life. Currently, he is recovering well.<\/p>\n

A few weeks ago, we accompanied members of Rotary<\/strong> <\/a>and teams from the Fair Future<\/strong> and Kawan Baik<\/a> foundations<\/strong> to Hambarita to assess how we could help this impoverished village,<\/strong> which lacks water<\/strong>, electricity<\/strong>, medical care<\/strong>, adequate food<\/strong>, and road connections<\/strong>. During this visit, we discovered a young man in his twenties who had recently been bitten on the foot by\u00a0a\u00a0highly<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0venomous snake<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

So we went to his bamboo and earth house and found\u00a0his\u00a0living conditions<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0unstable. If we had not been in the village at that precise moment, he could have perished. Fortunately, we were in Laindatang<\/a> for our usual Water Connections program<\/strong> duties here and had the Truck of Life<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0filled with medical supplies with us<\/strong>. We provided essential first aid<\/a> with the necessary medical equipment<\/strong>, including making an incision to remove<\/strong> the venom and administering appropriate<\/strong> medical treatment.<\/p>\n

The primary medical care<\/a> program<\/strong> aims to equip people in remote villages, especially women active in their communities<\/strong>, with essential medical knowledge<\/strong> and skills<\/strong>. This allows them to administer primary medical care<\/a>, such as treating wounds, dispensing medications, and monitoring blood pressure, to prevent injuries or illnesses from worsening and even save lives<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The primary medical care<\/a> program<\/strong> focuses on saving and preserving life<\/strong>. It trains local health workers<\/strong>, enabling them to act quickly and administer initial medical assistance in an emergency. This training has saved countless lives every day for over two years.<\/p>\n
