Primary Medical Care: Saving Lives in Remote Regions<\/h4>\n

Support the Fair Future Foundation’s mission to provide medical assistance to remote regions in East Sumba, where healthcare is often inaccessible.<\/p>\n

The Primary Medical Care<\/strong><\/a> initiative planned for 2024 and 2025<\/strong> is a crucial and ambitious project aimed at providing medical treatment<\/strong> to patients in the remote areas<\/strong> of East Sumba<\/strong>. The program commenced in December 2022<\/strong> and will continue for 12 months, concluding in September 2025<\/strong>. Its goal is to offer medical care<\/strong> to numerous patients who lack access to adequate health services<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Obtaining medical care<\/strong> is a constant challenge in these areas, with families<\/strong> and children<\/strong> often located hours or days away from the closest health facilities<\/strong>. This situation can lead to minor health issues or injuries becoming life-threatening<\/strong> due to the absence of timely medical attention<\/strong>. The inadequate medical assistance<\/strong> can be attributed to the poor public infrastructure<\/strong> and the remote geographical isolation<\/strong> of these communities.<\/p>\n

The Primary Medical Care<\/strong><\/a> initiative launched two years ago<\/strong>, has already demonstrated its effectiveness by treating<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0numerous patients. As we enter the third year<\/strong>, we have enhanced and refined this program, which remains unique<\/strong> globally. Our training empowers ordinary people<\/strong>, primarily women<\/strong> from these ultra-rural areas<\/strong>, to serve as Kawan Sehat<\/a> <\/strong>Community Health Workers<\/strong>, delivering medical ai<\/a>d<\/strong> in the most remote regions. We are currently expanding our services to 20 out<\/strong> of East Sumba\u2019s 22 districts<\/strong>, delivering personalized and often life-saving medical care<\/strong> to those in greatest need.<\/p>\n

Continued support<\/strong> <\/a>is vital to this life-saving<\/strong> and dignity-preserving<\/strong> program. Fair Future<\/strong> initiated this project on August 27<\/strong> by donating over CHF 21,000<\/strong>, covering one third of the program\u2019s costs. However, much more needs to be done. Your contribution<\/strong><\/a>, no matter how small, will allow us to acquire additional medical equipment<\/strong> and medicines<\/strong> to address the urgent needs<\/strong> of these isolated communities<\/strong>. We sincerely thank all our supporters, notably the RW Foundation<\/strong> and Rotary International<\/strong>, for their ongoing support.<\/p>\n
