water & sanitation solutions for families in Mbinudita village, Praipaha – Nggaha Ori Angu. Sumba Timur.

For more than two months, we have been on the sites, building, caring for, helping, laughing, discussing, planning and providing access to better health for thousands of people. It’s such a joy and relief to see that everything is going well.

For a few months -thanks to the Water Connections program–, the families are feeling healthier, happier and have much more energy. The villagers, who are 100% farmers, are much less sick, and they are in better health. Vegetable gardens are created, and an economy is built. Women and children spend much less time fetching water from wells far from homes. As a result, children spend more time in school, and adults have more time to do things they couldn’t do before. On the other hand, water remains the absolute priority of each of the 250 families of #mbinudita, well before everything else! Today, we are building healthy sanitary facilities for the village and the villagers. Like all other families living in ultra-rural areas, people have never had access to toilets or a place to bathe or do laundry.

"html5":0
["envira-default-gallery
additional_copy_0":0
additional_copy_0_mobile":0
"additional_copy_automatic_0":0
additional_copy_automatic_0_mobile":0,"additional_copy_automatic_title_caption_mobile":0
#envira-gallery-362105 {
    /* margin-bottom: 20px; */
    /* font-size: 18px; */
    /* font-family: "roboto"; */

https://fairfuturefoundation.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Mbinudita-Sanitations-Process-July22-6-1-640x480_tl.jpg
Process of manufacturing healthy sanitary facilities in East Sumba
https://fairfuturefoundation.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Mbinudita-Sanitations-Process-July22-6-1.jpg
Process of manufacturing healthy sanitary facilities in East Sumba
How to manufacture innovative, healthy, ecological sanitary facilities in one of the poorest regions of Asia?
