These <a href=\"https:\/\/fairfuturefoundation.org\/fr\/?s=water+tank\">tanks<\/a> provide hundreds of families access to clean and safe water.<\/h2>\n<h3>We&#8217;re pleased to share that the Water Connections project at the Mbinudita site has made significant progress. We&#8217;ve constructed nearly forty <a href=\"https:\/\/fairfuturefoundation.org\/fr\/?s=water+tank\">r\u00e9servoirs<\/a> and almost thirty complete <a href=\"https:\/\/fairfuturefoundation.org\/fr\/?s=sanitation\">Sanitaire<\/a> facilities. Despite this, over two-hundred families were still without direct access to clean water near their homes. We&#8217;re happy to report that this issue has now been resolved.<\/h3>\n<p>This group of houses in <a href=\"https:\/\/fairfuturefoundation.org\/fr\/categorie\/education-sociale\/rebuild-mbinudita\/\">Mbinudita<\/a> village is far from the main borehole drilled almost two years ago<em> (ref. <a href=\"https:\/\/fairfuturefoundation.org\/fr\/categorie\/education-sociale\/water-connections\/\">#waterconnections<\/a> project).<\/em> The village&#8217;s first few houses are almost three kilometres from the borehole. Initially, we aimed to connect the borehole to households and families by burying around <strong>3000 meters<\/strong> of 1-inch pipe underground. Witnessing the people of the village open a tap and access water for the first time in their lives was truly unique.<\/p>\n<p>However, after testing for several months, we realized that there wasn&#8217;t sufficient water or pressure for everyone to benefit from this source of healthy and fresh clean water for their daily needs. As a result, with the villagers&#8217; help, without which nothing would have been possible, the Foundation began constructing two enormous <a href=\"https:\/\/fairfuturefoundation.org\/fr\/?s=water+tank\">r\u00e9servoir d'eau<\/a> relays based on the Ferro-cement model, which we have already accomplished in nearly forty units in this village alone. Thanks to a system of taps and valves that can be opened and closed, we can now store <strong>over 15,000 litres<\/strong> of healthy and fresh clean water at the top of this high hill, directly from the borehole over <strong>3000 meters away<\/strong>.
