The focus is on access to clean <a href=\"https:\/\/fairfuturefoundation.org\/fr\/categorie\/education-sociale\/water-connections\/\">eau<\/a> et <a href=\"https:\/\/fairfuturefoundation.org\/fr\/categorie\/education-sociale\/water-connections\/\">assainissement<\/a> facilities and the fight against infectious diseases, including <a href=\"https:\/\/fairfuturefoundation.org\/fr\/categorie\/medecine-de-la-sante\/zero-malaria\/\">maladie de malaria<\/a>, polio, dengue, and dysentery. Our programs like <a href=\"https:\/\/fairfuturefoundation.org\/fr\/categorie\/education-sociale\/water-connections\/\">#WaterConnections<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/fairfuturefoundation.org\/fr\/categorie\/medecine-de-la-sante\/zero-malaria\/\"> #ZeroMalaria<\/a>, and #KawanSehat are dedicated to preserving life. As a medical foundation, we understand that access to clean <a href=\"https:\/\/fairfuturefoundation.org\/fr\/categorie\/education-sociale\/water-connections\/\">eau<\/a> is essential for healing.<\/p>\n<p>On the first day of their visit, we visited the ultra-rural village of Lapinu near <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/axnfLUzqUWWFffuB7\" target=\"_blank\">Kamanggih, Kahaungu Eti<\/a>, where we have been active for several years. This village lacks access to clean water and sanitation facilities, resulting in high rates of infectious diseases, dysentery, and malnutrition. Like many other villages in East Sumba, electricity is non-existent, and residents struggle to survive due to a lack of food resources.<\/p>\n<p>Access to the village is complex, requiring off-road vehicles like the <a href=\"https:\/\/fairfuturefoundation.org\/fr\/categorie\/situations-durgence\/truck-of-life\/\">#TruckOfLife<\/a> due to steep, slippery, and rocky dirt paths. The children of Lapinu welcomed us with <strong>traditional dances<\/strong> et <strong>songs<\/strong> during an <strong>emotional<\/strong> ceremony. Alex presented the project to the children and teachers with our <a href=\"https:\/\/fairfuturefoundation.org\/fr\/?s=rotary\">Rotary<\/a> friends in a classroom.<\/p>\n<p>John from <a href=\"https:\/\/fairfuturefoundation.org\/fr\/?s=rotary\">Rotary<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rotary.org\/fr\">International<\/a> also addressed the children, and <strong>Wahyu<\/strong> et <strong>Alex<\/strong> translated. This was <strong>John&#8217;s second visit<\/strong> here, the first being last July, and <strong>Mandi<\/strong>, <strong>Bridget<\/strong>, <strong>Peter<\/strong>, et <strong>Adrian<\/strong> accompanied him. These shared moments were intense and moving. We restocked medicines for our health agents as part of the <strong>#Programme PrimaryMedicalCare<\/strong>. This unique program enables ordinary people to provide <strong>Premiers secours<\/strong>, <strong>sauver des vies<\/strong>, and prevent the worsening of illnesses or injuries. <strong>Katrina<\/strong>, one of our health agents, was delighted to receive these <strong>essential medicine<\/strong>s to treat, relieve, and even save lives.<\/p>\n<p>Together, we toured the village to witness the lack of <a href=\"https:\/\/fairfuturefoundation.org\/fr\/categorie\/education-sociale\/water-connections\/\">eau<\/a> et <a href=\"https:\/\/fairfuturefoundation.org\/fr\/categorie\/education-sociale\/water-connections\/\">toilettes<\/a>, making life extremely difficult for the residents.
