<\/a>A remote family in Laindatang<\/a> still walks daily for water. Help fund a Water tank.<\/p><\/div>\n For three years<\/strong>, Fair Future Foundation has been transforming access to clean water in the villages of Hambarita<\/a> and Laindatang<\/a>, part of Mbatakapidu, a remote area in East Sumba. The progress is undeniable: reservoirs, toilets, and water supply systems now serve most of the community.<\/p>\n However, seven isolated families<\/strong> still do not have direct access to water, forcing them to walk kilometres daily to collect what they can from distant sources.<\/p>\n To solve this, we committed to building seven ferrocement<\/a> reservoirs. Three are fully funded<\/strong> and will be implemented in the 2nd semester of 2025\u2014a huge thank you to our donors.<\/p>\n But four remain unfunded<\/strong>, and we need your support<\/a> to complete them. These water tanks<\/a> will provide a sustainable, long-term solution for families still struggling with water insecurity. Without clean water,<\/a> health, education, and opportunity suffer. These final four reservoirs<\/a> will ensure no family in Hambarita and Laindatang is left behind.<\/p>\n While significant progress has been made in improving water access<\/a> across the village thanks to Fair Future<\/a>, several remote families remain trapped in an ongoing struggle for clean water, facing daily hardships that impact their well-being and future:<\/p>\n This ongoing struggle jeopardizes their health, disrupts education, and limits economic opportunities. Help fund a reservoir.<\/p><\/div>\n Each ferrocement<\/a> reservoir holds +\/- <\/strong>5,000 litres and includes a rainwater filtration<\/a> system to ensure safe drinking water. Once built, these reservoirs will last for over a decade.<\/p>\n The Water Connections<\/a> project in Laindatang<\/a> is already well underway. Over the past two and a half years<\/strong>, we have established the infrastructure, trained local teams, and built the first systems. Now, only four reservoirs stand between these families and lasting water security.<\/p>\n We are at a turning point.
