Their life is simple but so complicated! Like all other families, those with whom we work to build a better, healthier, more harmonious life for all, are farmers. They work in the fields.<\/p>\n
The inhabitants of the poorest regions, including Sumba East, where Fair Future Foundation<\/a> and Kawan Baik Indonesia<\/a> are at work every day, are the primary victims of this situation. Indeed, undrinkable water and poor sanitation lead to unsanitary conditions, disease and, in fact, impoverishment.<\/p>\n In isolated areas, as these few photos were taken on July 15, 2022, show, in the Ngoa region (near Lewa),<\/em> women and children often spend several hours walking to the nearest source to bring back water. Water in their house for the babies and all family. The water is often dirty, inedible and dangerous to health. For example, there are only a few centimetres of water left here. There is not enough for everyone.<\/p>\n This time spent on the roads prevents young children from going to school or parents from caring for their children.
