Investing in Health: Fair Future\u2019s 205M IDR Medical Initiative<\/h4>\n

Revolutionizing Rural Healthcare: Empowering Indonesian Communities through Unprecedented Access to Medications and Medical Support.<\/p>\n

Fair Future is proud to share a crucial announcement<\/strong> regarding our unwavering commitment to the ultra-rural communities in Indonesia. A substantial investment<\/strong> of 205 million<\/strong> Indonesian Rupiah has just been made, dedicated to purchasing essential medications<\/strong> and medical equipmen<\/strong>t for our #PrimaryMedicalCare<\/strong><\/a> program, a program at the heart of our missions. The Truck of Life<\/a> is ready to transport these vital resources to the site<\/a> in about ten days. (Refer to this document<\/a> for more details)<\/em><\/p>\n

This amount represents a stock for three to four months<\/strong>, a significant period that will allow us to treat several thousand people, whether they are sick or injured. This work is made possible by the remarkable<\/strong> efforts of our sixty<\/strong> Kawan Sehat health agents<\/strong>, who participate in this unique and totally<\/strong> revolutionary program<\/strong>. These women are true heroines<\/strong>, having saved dozens of lives<\/strong> by providing first aid in cases of injuries or infectious diseases such as malaria<\/a>, dengue, and various forms of diarrhoea, some of which can be compared to cholera.<\/p>\n

In this new stage of #PrimaryMedicalCare<\/a>, we are also innovating by integrating an additional nurse and doctor into our team. They will be in charge of managing medication stocks<\/strong>, answering health agents’ questions on the ground, and complementing the 60 “First Aid Kit” already in place, which is essential for the proper functioning of our program<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The budget for these three months<\/strong> amounts to nearly CHF 12,000<\/strong>, slightly above<\/strong> our initial forecasts, but the need for medical equipment<\/strong> and medications<\/strong> is such that this investment is justified<\/strong>. This brings us to issue an urgent call<\/strong> for four specific needs essential for the continuation and effectiveness of our mission:<\/p>\n

  1. Bi\/Trinocular Microscopes<\/strong><\/a>: Necessary for blood tests as part of our #ZeroMalaria program<\/a>, these instruments are crucial for diagnosing and effectively treating malaria;<\/li>\n
  2. Portable Ultrasound<\/strong><\/a>: A simple, black-and-white tool, but essential, especially for monitoring pregnant women in the regions where we operate;<\/li>\n
  3. Solar Lamps<\/strong><\/a>: To equip several hundred homes in the region, providing a source of light where electricity is absent;<\/li>\n
  4. Malaria Control Equipment<\/strong><\/a>: This includes mosquito nets, material for Indoor Residual Spraying, antimalarial medications, rapid tests, blood examination and laboratory equipment;<\/li>\n
