A few months ago, bringing tables, chairs for the school in #rebuildmbinudita, with @fairfuture & @kawanbaikindo. @imgogon seating on the top of the truck enjoy a lot. We were so happy for these 100++ kids from the #Mbinudita community. And now, we work on #waterconnections.
The 💦water connections project is very challenging! It requires simple technology, involving gravity. But also a lot of materials, time spent on site in complicated conditions, to supply water to more than 200 families in the most rural areas of indonesia
Was thinking… What if we made 2022 the year of solidarity? So many people need all of us! (Pict: Sumba, 2 days ago). A donation for the programs of 🇨🇭@fairfuture, can be a nice solidarity gift, that we can all give in their favor. Happy New year 2022 for all of you.
The Petit Prince said: "To know is not to demonstrate, nor to explain. It is access to vision". @fairfuture and @kawanbaikindo, we have this vision, we work hard for this!
Together, let's give them clean water, food, toilets, and enough to live healthier.
We 🇨🇭@fairfuture & 🇮🇩@kawanbaikindo participated in a training on how to collect & store rainwater. Ferro-cement technology, water filtration, hydraulic pumps. It meets the needs of rural communities in eastern Indonesia, which is what we are doing there
That's it! We're done. Water is present in quantity & quality here in the savannah of Sumba East, #MbinuDita, for the first time here. Clean, drinkable water, not dangerous for health. From now on, we will have to create a water network from this well!
Understanding COVID-19 will help us all to stay safe. Find out more about COVID, and how to protect yourself and your community. The pandemic has taken a toll on all of us. It’s completely normal to feel down, even in everyday life, it happens to us all.
It's a movie, we will show you how people are struggling with water in East Sumba. Produced by 🇨🇭@fairfuture, it will explain what is life when water is not there, in quantity and quality. This is our work of every day on the field, taking care of all!
The work is hard so is the soil we are drilling in! Encountering an obstacle like a stone as hard as steel is a hindrance to the progress of the 🏗️project. But we manage to get through it. It's time to eat, sleep too, here in the savannah of East Sumba.
Following the adventures of the "🚰Water Connections" Program in #Mbinudita, East Sumba. Life is getting organised! Such a project here, in the heart of one of the most rural regions that exist, requires a gigantic organisation! As you can not imagine.
Once the camp is installed, the drilling begins, for 2 full weeks. Hard, grueling work. The conditions are harsh! It takes a lot of courage to endure this! But all is well for the moment! Providing 🚰water to nearly 200 families is 🙏motivating.
🇨🇭@fairfuture and 🇮🇩@kawanbaikindo prepared the ground. Access where no one has been before, to welcome workers for more than two weeks. That is the time it took to drill nearly 60m deep. A real life is organised on the spot! Sleeping, eating!

In Sumba East, Mbinudita. No access, no electricity, no water (for now). Preparation of the deep borehole (60m) to find 🚰clean water.
Drilling location chosen using the "dowsing rod" technique, last September.

A project such as drilling a well to a depth of more than 60m, in the middle of nowhere, in an area where no one has access to 🚱water, is a challenge that requires working with the local community!

The 🏗️drilling started on today a huge organisation.
🚰Water! This good, so precious to all forms of life. Pyramidal concept of a disaster if we close our eyes. Wells are dry, all... The 🌱crops dry up, then die. Everything like villages, families... Then people. @fairfuture is trying to do its best to make things better.
Being there is essential, on the spot to have a first-hand view of people's problems. Time changes things, quickly here. We must adapt the past discourse to that of today. Otherwise, we miss the point. 🇨🇭@fairfuture and 🇮🇩@kawanbaikindo are there with the people.
#waterconnections program in East Sumba, #Mbinudita started this week. For them, for the houses, for our school #sdmbinudita, clean 🚰water access from a very deep well, alimented by 🌞solar energy. Including a network of homemade water thank.

🇨🇭@fairfuture note that in endemic areas people think that #Malaria is a common disease. Although malaria can be prevented and treated, it can also lead to death! Read the page about this major public 🩺health risk, especially in the pandemic of COVID-19.
Here, there is no 🔌electricity! Means kids can't study at home. This is why we always provide 🌞solar 🔦lamps. This day: 100 lamps for 100 kids from Mbinudita, East Sumba. This will change their life. This will bring 💡light at 🛖home.

Little memories, it was 2 years ago, in #sdmbinudita, East Sumba. We visited a school with 🇨🇭@fairfuture and 🇮🇩@kawanbaikindo, 2 weeks after the school collapsed. And we rebuild 🎒MbinuDita stronger than before, with ♥️and passion.
