Hello, this is Alex Wettstein from Un futuro giusto. How are you? I am very proud to announce some great news on behalf of the Swiss Fair Future Foundation. Ayu and I have received the Paul Harris Fellow Award from the General Directorate of Rotary International. It’s a true honour for all of us and celebrates more than 15 years of dedication per la fornitura essential medical, social, and clean water services to those in need in the far eastern regions of Indonesia. These efforts, Ayu, as the director of Amici buoni Indonesia and I, as the founder e president di Fair Future Foundation, make a huge impact on the lives of hundreds of thousands of people in ultra-rural communities.
Receiving such an international award means a lot to us and to all the collaborators e volontari working with us here and elsewhere. It encourages us to do more and implement fundamentally practical projects for these communities from some of the world’s poorest regions. Most importantly, it keeps us going, helps us not to despair when times are tough, and finds the necessary moral and physical resources. Here, where we work, in ultra-rural regions without access to acqua, sufficient food, internet, electricity, e assistenza medica, life is difficult for comunità rurali and sometimes for us too.
