Dear friends and supporters,
For the past three years, our Primary Medical Care program has operated under difficult conditions, becoming an essential resource for thousands of people in the ultra-rural regions of East Sumba. In recent months, we have seen a significant increase in the number of cases: children, elderly individuals, and adults suffering from infectious diseases, malnutrition, cancer, or untreated injuries.
A growing demand for healthcare:
As the region faces an alarming resurgence of malaria, polio, dengue, and tuberculosis, we are multiplying our interventions in isolated villages often lacking roads, electricity, clean water, and medical care. In these areas, where we are often the only available medical resource, we serve an ultra-rural population estimated at tens of thousands of people.
Through our Kawan Sehat health agents, we provide concrete solutions. In September, 20 new agents completed their third training session. They are now equipped with the knowledge, medicines, and tools needed to serve their communities effectively. Through this program, we empower them to offer primary healthcare, manage emergencies, and conduct preventive actions with professionalism and dedication.
A unique and impactful program:
The Primary Medical Care program stands out for its innovative approach. By training and equipping the villagers themselves, we enable them to respond quickly and effectively to the medical needs of their communities. This sustainable model addresses the lack of healthcare and medicines in these remote regions, providing an immediate and lasting solution to their healthcare challenges.

Thank you for your encouragement and support.
Your continued support is essential for us to provide the medicines, equipment, and training necessary for the success of this program. Together, we create a tangible, measurable impact.
Sincerely,
The entire Fair Future team from Switzerland in Indonesia, East Sumba. |
