Malaria Emergency | In order to effectively fight the ongoing malaria epidemic in our region, our medical teams need vital resources such as medicines, rapid diagnostic kits, laboratory equipment and two microscopes. In addition, it is very important that we have access to impregnated mosquito nets and indoor spraying equipment (IRS) to prevent any potential infection. Thank you from the heart.
Who are the good friends?
The Fair Future Foundation team, only a few since we are more than 100 including the volunteers who are in the field. Contact usNewsletterWe’re just very good friends. It’s our story and they are the ones who created it!
Kawan Baik in Indonesian means “good friends”! Helping is what guides us in our lives!
We all use this diminutive when we talk to each other. For example for Ayu, it will be “Kawan Ayu”. We chose to call ourselves that because that’s what we all are to each other: Terrific friends of “Kawan Baik”!
It is an essential element to the success of all our projects in favour of those who have more needs than us. Friendship moves mountains. Friendship is the main element of professional relations here or outside our base camp in Denpasar or Rumah Kambera in Sumba East. Friendship makes us happy to be here every day and what transports us when we work in the field, in Sumba, Flores, Java or elsewhere tomorrow.
In a few lines, here are those who bring Fair Future and Kawan Baik Indonesia to life, but above all, those who carry out humanitarian projects. It is all of us who are on the ground. We work to make your ideas and your projects a reality. And we do it with heart and a lot of professionalism.

Ni Luh Putu Paramashanti
Board member of Kawan baik Indonesia, accountant
Hi I’m Niluh. I was born and raised in Bali. Now I work as an accountant, but funnily enough, my hobbies are nowhere close to dealing boring numbers. My hobbies include gardening and shopping at traditional markets. I am very happy to see fresh vegetables, fruits, and flowers in these markets and I also find the transactions and exchanges very fascinating. Other than that, I enjoy embroidery and knitting, so much that I dedicated an instagram account for these hobbies called @mimpiby.niluh. This account is not only an instagram account for my passion in embroidery and knitting, but also for other little things that I’ve always wanted to do. I hope that these little things that make me happy can be useful for others and make them happy too. Cheers!

Hello, my name is Indira but I like my friends and you who read this to call me just Indi, without “e”. Because I like being an independent woman because if it’s not I want to marry a man who would taking care of my cigar per day and feed me. I am from a little town in East Java, Malang. Malang is a cool place but I won’t live there again, because it’s cozy place to live. I’m a film student in the cheapest film school in the world, I hope I can continue my study and have my paper. But I don’t know what to do, I am too lazy to hear my lectures and do the task from them. I like to work, I hope I will do my best in my new office.

Nofi
Social worker, Sumba team leader
Our friend Nofi died in early January 2023, after a constant fight against a 2nd Rhino-Pharyngeal cancer. She was 27 years old.
We keep the story of Kawan Nofi alive, she is and will always be part of our teams. In everything we’ve done since 2019 in East Sumba, Nogi has been there. In everything we do tomorrow, Nofi will always be there. Nofi was a true voluntary addict to education as well as to the environment. Over the years, his past experiences in Sumba made him want to come back after the healing process of his first cancer. Children and everything in Sumba cannot be replaced in her heart because it is the place where she started volunteering.

Elthon Rinaldi Halawulang
Field documentation officer, Photo and Medias
My name is Elthon Rinaldi Halawulang and I am from Sumba Timur, Indonesia, NTT. I have always loved nature photos and nature in Sumba is very beautiful. I particularly like taking pictures of birds, it’s one of my passions with horses. Because birds in Sumba are rare and almost unique. Taking photos of birds is a process: Studies, patience, nature, and birds. I like to report on what I see, to talk about the stories of my country, my island, East Sumba, and its unique traditions.
For several years I have been working in the context of medico-social projects within the framework of local organizations. Now I work with Fair Future Foundation as documentation staff. My work consists of documenting the actions carried out in the field, but also collecting demographic and social data related to people’s living conditions, during field project studies, by Fair Future or Kawan Baik Indonesia.
