Essential Primary Medical Actions: Blood Pressure Measurement Saves Lives in Rural Areas.
Our team is featured in the latest “Photo of the Day,“ which shows how they train Kawan Sehat operatori sanitari per measure blood pressure as part of the primary medical care programma. The photo shows Kawan Ino, one of the Foundation’s field coordinators, having his Pressione sanguigna taken by a health worker.
L'importanza di primary medical care in aree rurali cannot be overstated. Access to assistenza medica in these regions is rare, leading to infrequent basic procedures such as Pressione sanguigna measurement. Failure to manage and treat high blood pressure can lead to severe consequences such as stroke, brain haemorrhage and paralysis.
In cases of high Pressione sanguigna, Kawan Sehat’s trained health workers can administer essential medications and offer valuable advice on blood pressure management. They will also guide patients to the nearest, often distant, medical facility.
Uncontrolled high Pressione sanguigna poses serious risks, such as damage to arteries and vital organs over time without showing symptoms, which can lead to life-threatening complications. The lack of regular assistenza medica and essential diagnostic equipment exacerbates these risks in our operating areas.
Primary medical actions are the cornerstone of our efforts in rural areas. By teaching health workers to manage conditions like high Pressione sanguigna, we save lives and create lasting health improvements.” – Alex Wettstein, CEO and Founder of Un futuro giusto Fondazione.
The program is significantly impacting Kawan Sehat health workers being recognized as “local heroes” because they can only provide lifesaving care in previously underserved areas. They are trained to measure Pressione sanguigna, identify symptoms of hypertension, and take appropriate action, thereby helping to reduce mortality rates and improve the community’s standard of living.
Il Primary Medical Care Programma is a remarkable initiative that provides essential medical services to underserved areas, focusing on education, prevention and treatment. This program demonstrates our commitment to ensuring equal and convenient access to healthcare for all, regardless of geographic location.
Il vostro sostegno of this essential program is crucial as it allows us to fulfil our mission. Insieme, we can help provide isolated rural communities with a healthier, more secure future.
