Kawan Sehat, il libro completo per una vita più sana
La Fondazione ha realizzato un libro illustrato per i giovani delle zone ultra-rurali dell’Indonesia orientale. Dove non si condivide la conoscenza della lettura e dell’scrittura. Sarà un libro di riferimento e raccoglierà la maggior parte delle informazioni su uno stile di vita migliore, i consigli e i trucchi che sono “normali” ma che la maggior parte della gente non conosce qui.
Kawan Sehat, il libro per i bambini di Sumba
Kawan Sehat means "healthy friend". This is a book for children in rural areas. Our friend Bayu illustrated these boards simply for the children to understand immediately. Each panel presents Rambu (the woman), Umbu (the man) and a Horse (the most sacred animal of East Sumba) around socio-sanitary themes. The foundation's medical teams, familiar with local customs and traditions, treated about twenty subjects. Since the beginning of January, the foundation's medical teams have been developing additional medical topics for this book.

The Rumah Baik Base Camp in Denpasar is filled with boxes, tape, medicines, plasters, bandages, disinfectants and other medical equipment.

Epidemia di malaria nell’East Sumba, Indonesia
La malaria è uno dei problemi di salute pubblica più gravi al mondo. Qui in Indonesia, e soprattutto nelle regioni orientali, è una delle principali cause di morte e malattie. I bambini di età inferiore ai cinque anni e le donne in gravidanza sono i gruppi più colpiti.

In these few images taken at the end of October 2022, in a village in East Sumba, more than a hundred people have access to this unique water source. A well was dug by hand more than ten years ago and is almost always dry. People have to queue to get a few litres of water that is totally unfit for consumption and dangerous to their health.
