What do we do on the ground?
We intervene directly in Indonesia’s most remote and disadvantaged villages to improve access to clean water. Our actions include:
- Installing clean water systems: Through the Water Connections Programma, we build wells, rainwater harvesting systems, and water distribution infrastructure to ensure a constant supply of clean water;
- Education and awareness: We conduct workshops to educate communities on hygiene practices, disease prevention, and sustainable water use;
- Disease prevention: By improving access to clean water and teaching proper sanitary practices, we reduce the incidence of infectious diseases such as cholera, typhoid, and dysentery;
- Community development: We work closely with local residents to identify their needs and develop tailored solutions, strengthening their resilience and autonomy.
Our teams consist of healthcare professionals, engineers, social workers, and dedicated volontari who share a deep commitment to the well-being of local communities. Through our participatory approach, we actively involve community members in every step of our projects, ensuring their sustainability.
