Relazione del water connections progetto
Please find below the action report “Water Connections Project”, established by Kawan Ayu and Kawan Gogon, validated by the Fair Future Foundation, dated November 2, 2022.
Dear friends, dear Kawan,
What we have achieved in the space of over 12 months and out of the ordinary, to be very honest. Who could have imagined a few years ago that this village of #Mbinudia and its more than 2500 inhabitants (nearly 70% of whom are children), isolated from everything, without road access worthy of the name, without clean water, without electricity, without school too, would it be today what it has become? Who could have even dreamed of it as it seemed impossible to do? Who? To be very honest, not me.
And yet, today, as I write these few lines, we are proud to tell you that we have built a considerable school –#sdmbinudita-the most beautiful in all of Sumba, say the authorities, but you know that already. And that the more than one hundred children who frequent it now have access to clean water. For the first time in their life, they can open a tap and drink quality water, in infinite quantities, without getting sick or risking their lives.

So far, the teams of Fair Future and Amici buoni foundations have already built, as part of the #waterconnections project, the site of #mbinudita, more than thirty (30) tanks of more than 6000 litres, six (6) complete sanitary facilities including two toilets, showers, laundry washing and water collection point. More than 10,000 meters of PVC pipes have been buried, connecting all these installations. We still have a lot of work to do. It’s an intense activity, as it should be noted that we are in the process of building eight (8) healthy sanitary installations.
2022 is already well underway, and we are not stopping. The programs continue and are also developing. We encourage you to check out all our news here to find out.
The Swiss Fair Future Foundation is a foundation board member, and all those who work here voluntarily in the field (Alex and Elisa) encourage you to support the foundation’s programs by donating. It’s only to help us help them. To do this, click on this link Kawan. Thank you so much.
Vi auguriamo un bellissimo giorno, ovunque voi siate. Ricordatevi di prendervi cura di voi stessi e di chi amate. È la cosa più importante.

2,224 SolarBuddy lamps have been installed from Surabaya to Sumba to ensure power safety and education in 24 villages.
A humanitarian mission from Australia to Rumah Kambera transforms logistics into a sustainable health impact.
After months of preparation and coordination, 2,224 SolarBuddy lamps have reached their destination in East Sumba. From the port of Surabaya to the new storage space at Casa Kambera, this operation marks a turning point in Fair Future’s logistics and outreach capabilities. These are not merely boxes of lights but instruments of Prevenzione, istruzione, and community resilienza.
Cleared tax-free under a historic humanitarian exemption, the lamps arrived in Indonesia thanks to the unwavering support of SolarBuddy Australia e Rotary International. Once in Denpasar, our team meticulously documented, repacked, and staged each lamp for safe transfer across land and sea. Volunteers carefully loaded every box into the Truck n’Load and partner vehicles for the journey eastward.
In Casa Kambera, un dedicated storage facility was prepared to receive the shipment. The bright yellow boxes, neatly stacked, now fill the foundation’s new warehouse, ready for deployment to 26 ultra-rural villages and dozens of off-grid schools. The SolarBuddy Tracker app, developed in-house, will ensure every lamp is registered, traceable, and linked to its recipient.
These lamps are more than solar-powered devices. They reduce the risks of burns e respiratory issues da kerosene, allow children to study safely at night, and allow families to cook and walk without fear in the dark. Light becomes a tool for injury prevention and educational equity in areas with minimal access to healthcare.
Each step—from customs clearance to local coordination—required precision, documentation, and tireless dedication. Behind every lamp are names, hands, and kilometres travelled. This distribution is part of a long-term commitment to improving living conditions through sustainable, community-driven solutions.
The lamps are here. The mission moves forward. What arrives today is light, dignità, protection, and future opportunità.
