A few weeks ago, we accompanied members of Rotary and teams from the Fair Future und Gute Freunde foundations to Hambarita to assess how we could help this impoverished village, which lacks Wasser, electricity, Medizinische Versorgung, adequate Lebensmittel, und road connections. During this visit, we discovered a young man in his twenties who had recently been bitten on the foot by a highly venomous snake.
So we went to his bamboo and earth house and found his Lebensbedingungen unstable. If we had not been in the village at that precise moment, he could have perished. Fortunately, we were in Laindatang for our usual Water Connections Programm duties here and had the Truck of Life filled with medical supplies with us. We provided essential first aid with the necessary Medizintechnik, including making an incision to remove the venom and administering appropriate medical treatment.
