Building the Future of Rural Communities Together: A Unified Vision for Real Needs.
Villagers and Fair Future staff collaborating on school construction in rural East Sumba, highlighting teamwork and real impact.
Building Together | Collaboration is the foundation of all Fair Future und Gute Freunde projects. By partnering with local communities, we aim to address genuine needs, exchange knowledge, and drive meaningful change that will benefit future generations.
Dies Galerie showcases the extraordinary process of constructing a school, specifically Mbinudita School in Ost-Sumba (for the Rebuild Mbinudita Program)—a project that embodies the collaborative philosophy of Fair Future and Gute Freunde. Our approach begins with listening to and understanding local communities, working alongside them to tackle real needs rather than superficial desires.
During the height of COVID-19, we collaborated with over 100 community members to build what has been described as “-The most beautiful school in East Sumba.” Perched on a remote hilltop with no access to water or electricity, the Projekt faced significant challenges from the start. However, through mutual respect and learning, we succeeded together. Our Team provided technical Expertise while the villagers shared essential local knowledge, fostering a two-way exchange that empowered everyone involved.
Die original school, which collapsed on December 19, 2019, started with just 20 students. Today, it serves 120 students, and two new classrooms have been added. Together with the village communities, we launched the first Water Connections program. Now, the entire village has access to clean water and sanitation.
Dies approach goes beyond mere construction; it’s about developing skills and capacities that communities can utilize in their villages und beyond. Every stone laid and every lesson learned symbolizes our collective commitment to progress that serves all. The images in this Galerie remind us that lasting impact comes from Kooperation, mutual growth, and ensuring that every action aligns with the true aspirations of those we support.
