WHO mentors guide East Sumba analysts to improve the accuracy and speed of malaria care
In East Sumba, malaria remains a significant health challenge. To address this, the Fair Future Foundation, Rotary International, Malaria Partners International, Kawan Baik Indonesien, and local authorities organised a two-day training session for the region’s 28 laboratory analysts.
These professionals represent all medical centres and the RSUD Hospital. Under the guidance of WHO-certified mentors, participants refined their skills by reviewing more than 100 complex slides each, with a focus on microscopy, slide reading, and equipment maintenance. This training not only enhances diagnostic accuracy but also facilitates the initiation of treatment.
With its Schweizerisches Know-how und 16 years of field experience, the Fair Future Foundation continues to support local health systems in the fight against malaria.
