Kawan Sehat – Empowering Health Workers with Essential Care Guides.
In this new “Photo of the Day,” two primary Arbeiter im Gesundheitswesen are seen tirelessly helping thousands of people in the ultra-rural Mbinudita region of East Sumba. They hold two books that we produced, which proudly embody their Mission.
Die Kawan Sehat book, seen on the left, is a guide produced by the Foundation to educate children on simple but valuable self-care methods. Those interested can access this resource here. Beyond being a simple source of information, this book is a tool that enables young children in these rural societies to adopt basic, gesundere lifestyles.
On the right side, they also hold a comprehensive 14-module guide for training Kawan Sehat Arbeiter im Gesundheitswesen. Dies Veröffentlichung is an authoritative medical reference book that informs them on how to treat various conditions such as Wunden, bites, burns, etc. This massive manual imparts these women’s knowledge and skills to provide effective Primary Medical Care – care that sustains and saves lives. These Gesundheitswesen providers are equipped with valuable skills, from caring für minors zu caring für elderly patients in places where access to medical facilities is severely limited or non-existent.
“These Frauen are the pillars of their communities. Through knowledge and compassion, they are not only saving lives but also inspiring a brighter future in the most isolated regions.”
– Alex Wettstein, CEO und Gründer von Fair Future Foundation
Die Primary Medical Care programme has been operational for over two years and has improved the lives of thousands of people. This is all thanks to these extraordinarily dedicated and stark women who go beyond their role as Pflegekräfte. They are true superheroes dedicated to saving lives in their communities. The work they do can only be described as exceptional.
Their role as educators is also evident in their position. They serve in remote schools that lack basic amenities wie zum Beispiel electricity, water, und sogar roads. In these precarious circumstances, they play an indispensable role in maintaining the well-being of their isolated communities, especially since it can take hours oder even days to reach a medical care centre or a Puskesmas (Small Community Care Center). Their presence, therefore, remains essential to foster development in the villages that need it most.
Diese Frauen emanate a spirit of Stärkung und Resilienz. Their determined efforts shape the future of their communities, one patient at a time. In addition to medical care, they profoundly impact education, sanitation, and improving the community’s overall health.
