Five Days of Medical Outreach
A Rotary contribution of AUD 7,453.60, approximately IDR 90.56 million, will fund five community medical outreach days in East Sumba. Each field day costs around IDR 18 million, roughly CHF 840, and allows our teams to bring consultations, medicines and basic diagnostic testing directly into ultra-isolated villages.
During one community medical outreach day, our teams typically examine and treat at least 100 people, often around 120. Across these five days, this support should therefore make medical care accessible to roughly 500 to 600 patients. Reaching them requires long travel, medical staff, supplies and careful preparation, but it avoids asking families to make journeys they often cannot afford or physically manage. We are deeply grateful to the Rotary Club of Mandurah Districts for financing care that goes directly to patients and communities.
