Sumba Sepsis Study 2026 – Consolidated Report
This preliminary consolidated report of the Sumba Sepsis Study 2026 examines the conditions families in East Sumba face when preventing infection, recognising serious illness and seeking effective care. It brings together completed fieldwork led by Fair Future Foundation and Kawan Baik Indonesia, with institutional participation from the Government of East Sumba. The report describes a cross-sectional, non-probability household survey across eight localities, a separate healthcare-worker survey, fieldwork accounts and a review of administrative records. It covers water, sanitation and hygiene, reported severe illness, care-seeking, transport and referral, staff training and reported treatment readiness. Methods, descriptive results, data-quality checks, limitations and source notes accompany practical priorities for prevention, first-contact care and patient follow-up. Version 1.0 was issued on 13 September 2026 for World Sepsis Day. Fieldwork is complete, but epidemiological interpretation remains preliminary. Household reports of illness are not clinically confirmed sepsis cases; the study does not estimate population sepsis prevalence, establish causation or demonstrate programme effectiveness. Annual activity report 2025
Fair Future Foundation's 49-page review of its medical and social work in East Sumba and eastern Indonesia during 2025. The report covers Primary Medical Care and the training of Kawan Sehat community health workers, support for the local hospital, water reservoirs in Hambarita and Laindatang, malaria research and prevention, SolarBuddy lamps and school electrification. It also explains the role of the Truck of Life and Truck n'Load, health education, community participation and the Rumah Kambera field base. Programme accounts are illustrated with field photographs and testimonies from residents, health workers and partners. A financial overview and the priorities set out for 2026 complete the report, including plans for a new socio-medical centre. Available in English and French.

Fair Future Foundation's annual accounts for the year ended 31 December 2025, accompanied by FidOffice SA's independent report on its limited statutory examination, dated 24 July 2026. This 11-page document includes the balance sheet, income statement with 2024 comparative figures, and notes covering the foundation's governance, remuneration and financial position. It details donations received, mission expenditure, transfers to the Indonesian partner foundation, administrative costs and movements in reserves. The auditor describes the scope and limitations of the examination and reports no evidence that the accounts failed to comply with Swiss law or the foundation's statutes. Available in French.
16 Cards for Good Health - Practical Health Prescriptions
A set of 16 illustrated cards in Bahasa Indonesia, produced by Fair Future Foundation and Kawan Baik Indonesia for the Primary Medical Care programme and Kawan Sehat. Each card invites the patient to choose one or two practical actions with a health worker during the consultation, turning health education into a simple prescription for daily life. Topics include safe drinking water, handwashing, heat protection, food and sugar, tobacco smoke, alcohol safety, HIV and sexual health, malaria prevention, fever, diarrhoea, blood pressure, wound care, cooking smoke, pregnancy, and oral health. The cards combine everyday actions with warning signs and advice to seek medical help. The aim is to reduce unnecessary reliance on medicines through practical prevention and self-care, without replacing clinically necessary treatment; the blood-pressure card explicitly reinforces taking medicines as prescribed. The concept began with an original idea from Flavie Wettstein, an emergency nurse at CHUV in Lausanne, Switzerland, and was developed with the Fair Future medical team. Rumah Kambera – Building A: Electrical, Lighting, Plumbing and Solar Coordination
Preliminary technical coordination set for Building A of Rumah Kambera, issued on 23 October 2026 for review by colleagues, the architect, contractor and solar installer. This 18-page English document presents 108 proposed electrical, lighting and water installation points, room-by-room schedules, plumbing and laboratory wastewater considerations, solar and battery interfaces, load priorities, technical-room options, and electrical and plumbing bills of quantities. Bidi Hunga Community Health Outreach - October 2026 Proposal
A 17-page proposal by Kawan Baik Indonesia, submitted to Fair Future Foundation under the Primary Medical Care and Kawan Sehat programme. It sets out a planned community health outreach for 150 residents of Kampung Matawai Kurang, Bidi Hunga village, Lewa subdistrict, East Sumba. The proposed dates are 17 or 24 October 2026, starting at 10:00 WITA; the final date remains subject to confirmation. The document covers clinical assessment, appropriate prescribing and diagnostic testing, referral support, four practical health education stations using ten posters, Good Health Prescription cards, participant protection, and household follow-up at approximately two and four weeks. It also includes the proposed service pathway, a 20-person implementation team, a medicine and equipment list, and an estimated budget. Preliminary technical and commercial proposal prepared by Marc Pop of Smart Energy.tech on 15 October 2026 for the future Rumah Kambera community socio-medical centre in East Sumba. The 20-page English document proposes 12.6 kWp of solar panels, 32 kWh of battery storage and a 10 kW three-phase hybrid inverter, with monitoring, logistics, installation, testing and commissioning. Quoted total: IDR 250,625,019 including 11% VAT after a 15% NGO discount. Includes financial projections, equipment specifications, payment terms, exclusions and warranties. This is a quotation for review, not confirmation of an approved order or completed installation; the detailed design remains to be confirmed.

Kambata Bundung Medical Outreach - 1 August 2026 Activity Plan
The original 8-page planning document for the community medical outreach held on 1 August 2026 in Kampung Madutolung, Kambata Bundung village, Kahaungu Eti district, East Sumba. Prepared by Kawan Baik Indonesia in partnership with Fair Future Foundation under the Primary Medical Care programme, it describes the access-to-care context, planned consultations and basic examinations, medicines according to medical directives, and education on hygiene and infectious disease prevention. The plan targeted 100 residents and included registration, clinical services, community health education, documentation, an indicative budget of IDR 15,735,000, and a medicine and equipment list. East Sumba Sepsis Study - Healthcare Staff Questionnaire - Final Version
Final English questionnaire for healthcare staff taking part in the East Sumba Sepsis Study, developed by Fair Future Foundation and Kawan Baik Indonesia. It gathers the everyday experience of doctors, nurses, midwives, laboratory staff and community health workers in hospitals, primary care facilities, village health posts and outreach services. Topics include recognition of severe infection and sepsis, training, staffing, medicines, oxygen and IV fluids, monitoring and laboratory capacity, infection prevention, referral barriers and essential equipment. Staff are also asked about reasons for delayed care and priorities for improving early detection and treatment. This is a study data-collection tool designed to identify practical gaps in care, not a report of findings or a patient diagnostic checklist.

Final English household questionnaire and field guide for the East Sumba Sepsis Study, developed by Fair Future Foundation and Kawan Baik Indonesia for interviews with adult household members by Kawan Sehat agents and survey interviewers. It covers household vulnerability, housing and smoke exposure, water, sanitation and hygiene, maternal and child health, access to care, recent severe illness and reported outcomes. Further sections explore care-seeking, referral delays, medicines used before formal care, support from Primary Medical Care and Kawan Sehat, health education, and trust in health services. It includes a verbal consent record, confidentiality notes and a guide to neutral interviewing and skip rules. This is a field data-collection tool to understand families' experiences and inform prevention, early detection and access to care; it does not present study results or diagnose sepsis.
