Nos programmes
Medical care, clean water, education and the means to reach remote communities. Explore how our programmes work together in eastern Indonesia.
Connected programmes. Shared purpose.
Healthier lives in remote communities.
In the villages where we work, a health concern can mean hours of travel. Clean water, a trained neighbour or light in a classroom can change what a family is able to do each day. Our programmes begin with these everyday realities, and with the people who know them best.
With Kawan Baik Indonesia, we work alongside families, health workers, teachers and local teams to decide what is needed and put it into practice. Medical care, water, education and infrastructure belong together: each helps the others work. The four areas below show how these efforts connect, always with the community taking part.
01 / PROGRAMME AREA
Santé et prévention
Care close to home. Prevention every day.
Primary Medical Care brings first-line care closer to families. Kawan Sehat agents, monthly community care days and Kawan Against Malaria connect treatment, prevention and follow-up in places where reaching a clinic is difficult.
02 / PROGRAMME AREA
Eau, nutrition et survie
Clean water is part of keeping people well.
Water Connections brings water infrastructure, sanitation and everyday hygiene together. Alongside nutrition and food support, this work addresses the conditions that shape family health, from water available at home to safer facilities at school.
03 / PROGRAMME AREA
Éducation et communauté
Knowledge and confidence that stay locally.
Practical learning helps people recognise health risks, share knowledge and take part in decisions. We work with women, families and minority communities to strengthen local skills and improve daily living conditions through sustained participation.
04 / PROGRAMME AREA
Projets et opérations sur le terrain
The places, power and transport behind care.
Rumah Kambera, our community socio-medical centre, connects care, learning and field coordination. School electrification, vehicles and supply transport support the same work: making essential services possible where distance and limited infrastructure shape daily life.
LEARNING AND WORKING TOGETHER
Local people. Lasting change.
Working with communities, every step of the way.
Our staff team numbers around fifteen. But the people who make these programmes happen number in the hundreds. Every programme is carried out with local communities, combining their knowledge with new skills learned through practical work.
Building a reservoir is also a chance to learn how to build and maintain it. Women train as community health workers, gaining skills to care for their neighbours. Learning continues in coordination, record-keeping and administration: the everyday work that helps communities take on new responsibilities.
