In this new “Photo of the Day,” two primary Les professionnels de la santé are seen tirelessly helping thousands of people in the ultra-rural Mbinudita region of East Sumba. They hold two books that we produced, which proudly embody their mission.
Le Kawan Sehat book, seen on the left, is a guide produced by the Foundation to educate children on simple but valuable self-care methods. Those interested can access this resource here. Beyond being a simple source of information, this book is a tool that enables young children in these rural societies to adopt basic, Plus sain lifestyles.
On the right side, they also hold a comprehensive 14-module guide for training Kawan Sehat Les professionnels de la santé. Cela publication is an authoritative medical reference book that informs them on how to treat various conditions such as Les blessures, bites, burns, etc. This massive manual imparts these women’s knowledge and skills to provide effective Primary Medical Care – care that sustains and saves lives. These Santé providers are equipped with valuable skills, from caring for minors à caring for elderly patients in places where access to medical facilities is severely limited or non-existent.
“These femmes are the pillars of their communities. Through knowledge and compassion, they are not only saving lives but also inspiring a brighter future in the most isolated regions.”
– Alex Wettstein, PDG et fondateur de Fair Future Foundation
Le Primary Medical Care programme has been operational for over two years and has improved the lives of thousands of people. This is all thanks to these extraordinarily dedicated and puissant women who go beyond their role as caregivers. They are true superheroes dedicated to saving lives in their communities. The work they do can only be described as exceptional.
Their role as educators is also evident in their position. They serve in remote schools that lack basic amenities comme par exemple électricité, water, et même roads. In these precarious circumstances, they play an indispensable role in maintaining the well-being of their isolated communities, especially since it can take hours ou even days to reach a medical care centre or a Puskesmas (Small Community Care Center). Their presence, therefore, remains essential to foster development in the villages that need it most.
Ces femmes emanate a spirit of Élargissement des pouvoirs et résilience. Their determined efforts shape the future of their communities, one patient at a time. In addition to medical care, they profoundly impact education, sanitation, and improving the community’s overall health.
