50 truckloads closer to the future Rumah Kambera centre

Fifty truckloads of sirtu have reached Rumah Kambera, halfway to the 100 planned. The sand, gravel and soil mixture will raise the lower ground before levelling. Each delivery prepares the site where medical care, medicines, training and field support will come together.
At Rumah Kambera in Kawangu, East Sumba, 50 truckloads of sirtu are now on site: half of the 100 planned. This local mixture of sand, gravel and soil will raise the lower parts of the land.
With 25 loads arriving each day, the remaining deliveries should take another two days if that pace holds. We will then assess whether more material is needed before levelling the piles. Preparing the ground is a practical step towards bringing medical care, medicines, training and field support together at the future community socio-medical centre.
