Rumah Kambera 2.0 drilling marks the first physical step toward Fair Future Foundation’s new socio-medical base in East Sumba. After two days of work, fresh water was found, making future construction, field life, and patient care possible on the site.
Rumah Kambera, our Medico Social Base camp
Our medical and social base is situated in East Sumba. It serves as a central coordination point for all of our socio-medical initiatives, including Water Connections, Primary Medical Care, Zero Malaria, Children’s Health, Nutrition and Food programs, and other related activities.
The Rumah Kambera category documents the role of this operational medical hub in supporting primary healthcare delivery and field operations in ultra-rural Indonesia. Rumah Kambera functions as a coordination center for medical logistics, emergency response, training, and storage of essential supplies. It enables rapid deployment of care, supervision of community health agents, and continuity of services, in line with WHO operational standards for decentralized healthcare systems.
It's from there that everything is done
Socio-Medical Base Concept 2026 Released in Sumba
The Sumba HQ Concept 2026 marks a decisive step forward. Rumah Kambera can no longer sustain our medical and social operations. Too small, structurally exhausted, and limiting our impact. With land secured in Kawangu, this new socio medical base is designed to strengthen healthcare access and long term field presence in East Sumba.
Rumah Kambera Medical Field Base Camp
In the heart of East Sumba stands Rumah Kambera—our field base, warehouse, patient center, coordination hub, and training ground. From here, we launch missions that bring health, water, food, and dignity to isolated villages. This is where every solution begins.
Warehouse Expansion to Boost Medical Supplies and Labs
We’re expanding our warehouse at Rumah Kambera! Initially, it will store medical supplies and 2,200 SolarBuddy lamps from Rotary and SolarBuddy. In 2025, it will also host a small laboratory project. Click here to view the plans and see how this new facility will support our mission. Thank you!

Rumah Kambera: Championing Health, Sustainability, and a Smoke-Free Future
At Rumah Kambera, we are on a mission to prioritize the health and safety of non-smokers, particularly children, by establishing a 100% smoke-free environment. We’re unveiling the dangers of passive smoking and confronting both active and passive smoking, recognizing their severe health threats. Moreover, we’re taking a significant step towards sustainability through exemplary waste management, creating a cleaner and healthier future for all in the Sumba region.
