Solar & Electrification
In remote villages without electricity, children must deal with daily darkness. Fair Future and Rotary International’s Solar Buddy program offers solar-powered lights to change that reality. These lights allow children to study after dark, navigate their surroundings safely, and help their families at home. More than just a source of light, these lights promote education, safety, and respect.
Archive scope
The Solar & Electrification category documents Fair Future Foundation’s work in delivering renewable energy solutions to ultra-rural communities in Indonesia.
This includes solar lamps, school electrification, and village-level solar installations where no electricity exists. Access to reliable energy improves healthcare delivery, education, water access, and safety. These field projects align with WHO and public health evidence showing that electricity is a key determinant of health, resilience, and community stability.
