At Rumah Kambera, every medicine, manual, and message is prepared before training even begins.
Behind each training session for Kawan Sehat agents lies a comprehensive medical and logistical operation.
In just a few days, dozens of Kawan Sehat health agents will gather at Rumah Kambera for a new round of training under the Primary Medical Care (PMC) programme. But before the training starts, a detailed, professional, and medically sound preparation is underway—an often unseen phase that is vital to the programme’s success and impact.
In the days leading up to the event, Fair Future’s team at Rumah Kambera has worked tirelessly. Medicine boxes are being carefully refilled, with inventories checked and dosage guidelines updated. Each item—bandages, antibiotics, antipyretics, antiseptics—is placed with precision. These are not just boxes—they are lifelines for hundreds of patients in remote villages where no doctor is available.
Alongside medicines, educational materials are being reworked. New posters, printed on both paper and durable fabric, explain wound care, hydration, fever management, and the prevention of infectious diseases. These visuals will travel from village to village, strengthening public health through clear, localised messages.
At the heart of this preparation is the updated Red Manual, Fair Future’s field-based training guide. Now featuring 14 modules, it serves as a vital resource for every agent, whether diagnosing infections, treating chronic conditions, or managing emergencies. Dr. Narni and Nurse Ivon led the refinement of this document with clinical precision and field experience.
The Casa Kandara training space is now ready. Clean, equipped, and welcoming, it embodies the values we place on knowledge, professionalism, and responsibility.
The success of each training session does not start on the day itself. It begins here—with hands sorting supplies, minds refining content, and a team preparing others to save lives in overlooked places.
