Primary Medical Care Program Saves Lives!
This new “Photo of the Day” shows you Katrina, a resident of Lapinu village and one of the 30 pioneers of the #PrimaryMedicalCare initiative. In addition to receiving new tools, medicines, and knowledge on healing techniques, she frequently saves lives by treating many people, mainly children, suffering from diarrhoea, dysentery, malaria, dengue, or various infections for more than two years now.
Thanks to her unwavering efforts, many who suffered can quickly recover through proper disinfection, prompt health care, and moral support from this agent of change. Without a doubt, Katrina has become indispensable in preserving lives within the village of Lapinu! It is a lost village with no roads and no access to clean water, electricity, or medical care. But as you know, we are also working to change that here.
The #PrimaryMedicalCare initiative is approaching its second anniversary. We are entering an expansion phase, introducing substantial innovations that will benefit rural areas for more than a year. This revolutionary program, unique in the world in its development and method of care, provides quality primary medical care to people living in remote areas inaccessible by road and lacking essential equipment such as medical care, water, or electricity.
Our Primary Medical Care program is a lifeline for remote communities, providing essential health services where none existed. Your support ensures we can continue saving lives and improving well-being.” – Alex Wettstein, CEO, Fair Future Foundation
This vital service prevents minor injuries from developing into severe infections while preventing disease progression. Our organizations, Fair Future and Kawan Baik, actively support our efforts by restocking medicines, training staff and troubleshooting complex cases in collaboration with the incredible women of Kawan Sehat. Yes, the true heroines are those women of exceptional bravery and strength who demonstrate remarkable character and unexpected abilities.
We want to emphasize the urgent need for medication in our community. The #PrimaryMedicalCare program should continue to expand in remote areas where families depend on it. To combat widespread diseases like malaria and other infectious diseases, we need a constant supply of medical supplies and equipment. Developing new training materials, creating new posters, and hiring additional supervisory staff are also essential.
The #PrimaryMedicalCare initiative, launched in 2022, has saved many lives in areas lacking medical facilities and practitioners. Through this program, thousands have benefited from essential primary care and immediate treatment to preserve their well-being.
