About the Kawan Baik Indonesia Team
The Kawan Baik Indonesia Foundation, established in 2019, is a fully independent Indonesian organisation composed of passionate individuals from across the archipelago—Sumba, Java, Bali, Sumatra, Flores, and more. Although it operates as a separate legal and financial entity, with its own board, programs, and campaigns, Kawan Baik works in close collaboration with the Swiss Fair Future Foundation. We share the same field basecamps—Rumah Kambera in Sumba and Rumah Bali in Denpasar—where we co-design and implement every project.
Kawan Baik’s team includes photographers, journalists, doctors, engineers, social workers, health professionals, educators, and field coordinators. Their work is monumental: building water infrastructure in ultra-rural areas, coordinating emergency healthcare, producing medical documentation, training local health agents, and delivering educational programs to communities without access to basic resources. Every project is grounded in local knowledge, with deep respect for culture, people, and place.
While this page shows only part of their dynamic team, dozens of others work daily to serve those who need it most. Their strength lies in their diversity, rooted presence in the field, and tireless commitment to sustainable impact.
