We will construct eight ferrocement tanks in Hambarita to provide clean water to isolated families. Six of these are currently funded, but two remain unfunded. We require CHF 2,300 for each tank. Your support guarantees access to clean water for the most remote communities. Donate now and be part of this life-changing project.

About the Kawan Baik Indonesia Team
The Kawan Baik Indonesia Foundation, established in 2019, is a fully independent Indonesian organisation composed of passionate individuals from across the archipelago—Sumba, Java, Bali, Sumatra, Flores, and more. Although it operates as a separate legal and financial entity, with its own board, programs, and campaigns, Kawan Baik works in close collaboration with the Swiss Fair Future Foundation. We share the same field basecamps—Rumah Kambera in Sumba and Rumah Bali in Denpasar—where we co-design and implement every project.
Kawan Baik’s team includes photographers, journalists, doctors, engineers, social workers, health professionals, educators, and field coordinators. Their work is monumental: building water infrastructure in ultra-rural areas, coordinating emergency healthcare, producing medical documentation, training local health agents, and delivering educational programs to communities without access to basic resources. Every project is grounded in local knowledge, with deep respect for culture, people, and place.
While this page shows only part of their dynamic team, dozens of others work daily to serve those who need it most. Their strength lies in their diversity, rooted presence in the field, and tireless commitment to sustainable impact.

✝ Nofi
Social worker, Sumba team leader
Nofi passed away in January 2023 at the age of 27, after a brave battle with Rhino-Pharyngeal cancer. Since joining us in 2019, she played a vital role in our programs in East Sumba. Passionate about education and sustainability, her dedication and spirit touched countless lives. Nofi’s presence remains deeply rooted in our work—her legacy continues to inspire and guide us toward a fairer future. She will always be part of our mission, our team, and our hearts.
Bringing Light to Rural Communities
The SolarBuddy program provides solar-powered lamps to children and families in ultra-rural areas without electricity. These lights improve education, safety & daily life, reducing reliance on hazardous kerosene lamps. Every lamp brightens a future, empowering communities with sustainable energy.
