The Laindatang and Hambarita Water Connections Project

07.10.2025 - Fair Future has donated CHF 19,248.96 (IDR 400M) to support the 2025/26 Primary Medical Care program. This vital funding ensures continued medical care, medicines, and support for remote Indonesian communities.

01.10.2025 - Today, we connect the roof to the 115m³ reservoir in Laindatang. After two months of drying, the structure is ready. Soon, the next rain will begin filling it. A big step toward sustainable clean water for the village.

30.09.2025 - We allocated nearly CHF 1,500 to purchase essential medicines, covering about two months of needs. These supplies are crucial for treating patients in remote communities with limited access to healthcare.

12.09.2025 - After three days on the road, including floods and extreme weather, Alex and the Truck of Life reached East Sumba. Loaded with medical equipment, it will now serve vulnerable communities in this remote region.

11.08.25 — We have invested CHF 12,000 in medical equipment for Waingapu Public Hospital, which serves 800,000 people and is in dire need of supplies. The hospital will receive this equipment in September.

28.08.25 — The donation of vital medical equipment will take place on Nov 19, 2025, at RSUD Umbu Rara Meha Hospital in Waingapu. We’ve shared the full list of supplies to be delivered—serving 800,000 people in East Sumba.

08.07.25 — Today, we funded tanks 7 and 8 in Hambarita with IDR 78M (CHF 3,900). These 5,300L reservoirs complete our goal—8 out of 8 fully financed. Soon, clean water will flow for families in this remote region.

05.06.25—We’ve begun building eight 5,000L ferro-cement tanks in Laindatang and Hambarita. The work is tough, and the region is remote, but we’re determined that 40,000L of clean water will soon support the most isolated families.

08.06.25—After months of preparation, construction of the 110m³ reservoir starts tomorrow in Hambarita! Over three months, we’ll work hard to bring clean water to a community where nothing yet exists. This is a major step forward!

19.04.25—We’ve been in Surabaya for a week repairing the Truck of Life. Repairs are now complete! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped fund this essential vehicle—ready again to serve remote communities in need.

09.04.25—We fully  the 110,000L reservoir in Laindatang! CHF 12,642.13 (IDR 251.5M) was transferred for construction starting June 2025—clean water for Sumba Timur

20.03.25 - Today, Fair Future donated CHF 5,953 (IDR 111M) to fund the distribution of 2,250 SolarBuddy lamps across 24 ultra-rural schools and Village in East Sumba. This includes all related logistics to bring light where there's never been any.

20.03.25—Fair Future held a free medical care day in Kawangu. Over 150 people were treated, TB and malaria screenings were conducted, and young children were vaccinated. We also led health education and prevention efforts. It was a powerful day!

08.03.25 - We allocated IDR 17M to renovate and build a new storage depot. It will safely house medical supplies and 2,250 SolarBuddy lamps arriving next month, ensuring better organisation and protection for vital resources.

08.03.25 - On March 7, we allocated IDR 78M for two more 5,000L ferro-cement tanks in Hambarita. These are reservoirs 5 & 6 in our seven-tank project, starting May 2025, to ensure clean water for the entire village. Progress continues!

04.03.25—We’ve received 16 solar panels (2m x 1m) producing 5,000W of electricity! Huge thanks to Marc from Smart Tech in Denpasar for this generous donation, which will power essential humanitarian projects. A big step forward!

03.02.25 - To cover internet, electricity, and admin costs for Rumah Baik and Rumah Kambera, Fair Future allocated CHF 800 (IDR 14.6M). That’s all—nothing more. Every other franc goes directly to life-saving fieldwork. Transparency matters.

03.02.25 - Today, Fair Future transferred CHF 4,950 (IDR 82M) for a significant malaria study in a high-risk village. This research, part of the #ZeroMalaria program, aims to develop life-saving solutions for affected communities.

03.02.25 - Fair Future has transferred CHF 3,200 (IDR 57M) to acquire 300 insecticide-treated mosquito nets lasting 5+ years. These nets will protect families in East Sumba, significantly reducing malaria risks and saving lives.

11.12.24 - The Rumah Kambera warehouse is set to expand! By 2025, it will house medical supplies, 2,200 SolarBuddy lamps, and feature a small lab dedicated to detecting waterborne diseases. Check out our plans here.
