Dear friends, dear families,
The people involved here in East Sumba, all Kawan Baik from the Fair Future and Kawan Baik Foundation, including volunteers, wants to show you what they’ve been going through for over three weeks. Therefore, we share with you this photo gallery, which summarizes what we experienced, done, and implemented during the first days of the natural disaster in Sumba East.
For more than three weeks, we have been on the ground to face the crisis linked to the lack of water, the lack of food, of medical care. We provide care to thousands of people, donate tons of food, install dozens of tanks between 650 and 5,500 liters fully equipped, including support frames, taps, and of course supply them with clean water.
Today, we are working on reconstruction, always in an emergency because the lack of water is enormous. We will soon start drilling a well “model”, that we can duplicate in all the “dry” villages in the region, and there are many of them.
To do this, we encourage you to help us as much as possible. Fair Future has put a lot of human, material, and financial resources to overcome the emergency. Today we must count on all of you to ensure that this drama does not turn into something more dramatic. Please find a more detailed list of what we urgently need in this previous News.
