Untreated pain in rural medicine defines daily life in remote regions. Patients live with wounds, infections, and fractures without relief. This is not a marginal issue. It directly affects survival, recovery, and dignity. Addressing pain is not complex, but it requires access, structure, and commitment.
Snakebites are a significant threat in East Sumba and similar areas where access to healthcare is limited. We distributed 450 malaria mosquito nets across East Sumba villages. Each family received a net, printed guidance, and a sewing kit for repairs. By combining distribution with education, families learned why correct use matters for preventing deadly malaria infections.
In four villages of East Sumba, Fair Future led days of malaria education and screening. Communities learned, played, asked questions, and discovered how to protect their families. Hundreds were tested, treated, and equipped with mosquito nets. Together, knowledge saves lives.

In Hambarita, Fair Future builds 8 clean water tanks to serve 150 people living in ultra-rural poverty. With no roads, electricity, or healthcare, these reservoirs offer essential health protection.

With infection rates over 50% and national health budgets slashed, we’re launching an urgent study to understand and combat this deadly disease. In East Sumba, nearly 12,000 students face the challenge of studying without electricity. Through Light Up the Future, Fair Future Foundation is distributing 2,224 solar lamps to over 2,000 children in 24 remote schools, bringing safe, renewable light to improve education, health, and daily life.
Fantastic news! We’ve officially secured tax-free approval for importing 2,224 SolarBuddy lamps from Australia. This historic milestone makes Fair Future the first NGO to achieve duty-free humanitarian imports in Indonesia. These lamps will soon light up villages in East Sumba. For the past three years, Fair Future has been constructing water reservoirs in Laindatang to guarantee access to clean water. However, four remote families continue to face difficulties.
