Join Our Lifesaving Mission: Urgent Call for Donations to Ensure Fair Future’s Humanitarian Work Continues.
Our Call to Humanity: Unite in the Fight for a Brighter Tomorrow – Help Fair Future Secure Vital Resources for Lifesaving Programs and Transform Lives.
Dear Friends of Fair Future,
I hope this message finds you well. I am Alexandre Wettstein, the founder, president, and head of medical activities of the Swiss Fair Future Foundation. For the past fifteen years, our organization has been dedicated to improving the lives of the underprivileged in remote areas of Indonesia. We have provided medical care, built hospitals and schools, and ensured access to clean water for tens of thousands of people.
Our commitment to comprehensive support, including medical, social, educational, logistical, and infrastructural aid, has significantly impacted communities affected by shortages, epidemics, disasters, or lack of access to healthcare. We have focused on developing innovative solutions for sanitation, clean water sources, energy, primary medical care (especially for children), and nutritious food. Our topmost priorities include addressing Malaria, Dengue Fever, tuberculosis, and infectious diseases linked to poor sanitation or clean water shortage.
Today, I come to you with an urgent appeal. Fair Future is in a CRITICAL situation that threatens the continuation of our lifesaving programs. Our bank account is nearly empty, with only 4000 francs remaining. This is insufficient to sustain or expand our ongoing social and medical initiatives.
Today, Fair Future is at a critical juncture, and our ability to continue our lifesaving work is hanging in the balance. We humbly ask for your support to ensure that we not only survive but thrive, making a meaningful impact on the lives of those who need it most.” – Alexandre Wettstein, Founder and President of Fair Future Foundation
For example, here in East Sumba, we should be purchasing a considerable amount of medical equipment right now to continue our Zero Malaria program or the Primary Medical Care program and combat other infectious diseases like Cholera, Polio, Tuberculosis, and diarrhoea. We urgently need three laboratory microscopes, a news logistics truck – an absolute necessity – and bare essentials like food and clean water for communities that are suffering from hunger and thirst.
It is disheartening to face this critical situation as we approach our fifteen-year milestone. However, as always, I am confident in our collective strength within our organization and among our supporters.
To prevent our foundation from ceasing its vital work and ensure the survival of our ongoing programs, I earnestly request your assistance. Your donations will make a tangible impact on the lives of those who depend on us. Together, we can continue to provide hope, healthcare, and a brighter future for underserved communities.
Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of hundreds of thousands of people in need? Join us in this humanitarian endeavour and support Fair Future Suisse. Together, we can overcome this crisis and continue to save lives.
Please consider making a donation today to support Fair Future. Your generosity directly contributes to vital medical needs and the well-being of families in ultra-rural areas. Thank you for being a good friend and standing with us in the fight against social and medical injustice.
Thank you very much for your support.

2,224 SolarBuddy lamps have been installed from Surabaya to Sumba to ensure power safety and education in 24 villages.
A humanitarian mission from Australia to Rumah Kambera transforms logistics into a sustainable health impact.
After months of preparation and coordination, 2,224 SolarBuddy lamps have reached their destination in East Sumba. From the port of Surabaya to the new storage space at Rumah Kambera, this operation marks a turning point in Fair Future’s logistics and outreach capabilities. These are not merely boxes of lights but instruments of prevention, education, and community resilience.
Cleared tax-free under a historic humanitarian exemption, the lamps arrived in Indonesia thanks to the unwavering support of SolarBuddy Australia and Rotary International. Once in Denpasar, our team meticulously documented, repacked, and staged each lamp for safe transfer across land and sea. Volunteers carefully loaded every box into the Truck n’Load and partner vehicles for the journey eastward.
In Rumah Kambera, a dedicated storage facility was prepared to receive the shipment. The bright yellow boxes, neatly stacked, now fill the foundation’s new warehouse, ready for deployment to 26 ultra-rural villages and dozens of off-grid schools. The SolarBuddy Tracker app, developed in-house, will ensure every lamp is registered, traceable, and linked to its recipient.
These lamps are more than solar-powered devices. They reduce the risks of burns and respiratory issues from kerosene, allow children to study safely at night, and allow families to cook and walk without fear in the dark. Light becomes a tool for injury prevention and educational equity in areas with minimal access to healthcare.
Each step—from customs clearance to local coordination—required precision, documentation, and tireless dedication. Behind every lamp are names, hands, and kilometres travelled. This distribution is part of a long-term commitment to improving living conditions through sustainable, community-driven solutions.
The lamps are here. The mission moves forward. What arrives today is light, dignity, protection, and future opportunity.
