The malaria control program in East Sumba is a collaborative effort involving various components such as prevention, diagnosis, treatment, capacity building, monitoring, and community engagement.

Water Connections create gardens, people eat better and drink more, and malaria and other infectious diseases are reduced by providing healthy sanitary facilities.

Several human behaviours strongly contribute to the spread or persistence of malaria. Here are some of these factors that lead to an increase in malaria cases.

The latest reports tell us that in some areas, 100% of the villages in East Sumba have gone Red. Children under five and other vulnerable people are hard hit.
