Transformative Healthcare: Fair Future’s 205M IDR Investment in Primary Medical Care.
Revolutionizing Rural Healthcare: Empowering Indonesian Communities through Unprecedented Access to Medications and Medical Support.
This investment is more than a monetary contribution; it’s a direct investment in the health and future of ultra-rural communities in Indonesia. We’re not just providing aid; we are empowering communities to rise above the health challenges they face. Every rupiah spent is a step toward a healthier, more sustainable future.
Fair Future is proud to share a crucial announcement regarding our unwavering commitment to the ultra-rural communities in Indonesia. A substantial investment of 205 million Indonesian Rupiah has just been made, dedicated to purchasing essential medications and medical equipment for our #PrimaryMedicalCare program, a program at the heart of our missions. The Truck of Life is ready to transport these vital resources to the site in about ten days. (Refer to this document for more details)
This amount represents a stock for three to four months, a significant period that will allow us to treat several thousand people, whether they are sick or injured. This work is made possible by the remarkable efforts of our sixty Kawan Sehat health agents, who participate in this unique and totally revolutionary program. These women are true heroines, having saved dozens of lives by providing first aid in cases of injuries or infectious diseases such as malaria, dengue, and various forms of diarrhoea, some of which can be compared to cholera.
In this new stage of #PrimaryMedicalCare, we are also innovating by integrating an additional nurse and doctor into our team. They will be in charge of managing medication stocks, answering health agents’ questions on the ground, and complementing the 60 “First Aid Kit” already in place, which is essential for the proper functioning of our program.
The budget for these three months amounts to nearly CHF 12,000, slightly above our initial forecasts, but the need for medical equipment and medications is such that this investment is justified. This brings us to issue an urgent call for four specific needs essential for the continuation and effectiveness of our mission:
- Bi/Trinocular Microscopes: Necessary for blood tests as part of our #ZeroMalaria program, these instruments are crucial for diagnosing and effectively treating malaria;
- Portable Ultrasound: A simple, black-and-white tool, but essential, especially for monitoring pregnant women in the regions where we operate;
- Solar Lamps: To equip several hundred homes in the region, providing a source of light where electricity is absent;
- Malaria Control Equipment: This includes mosquito nets, material for Indoor Residual Spraying, antimalarial medications, rapid tests, blood examination and laboratory equipment;
- …
Your support is now more vital than ever. We will be on the ground in ten days, and every contribution counts. Together, let’s make a difference and continue to fight for the health and well-being of communities that depend on us.
