Fair Future , October 2022 – The “Water Connections” project report, East Sumba, Indonesia – Mbinudita site.
Please find below the action report “Water Connections Project”, established by Kawan Ayu and Kawan Gogon, validated by the Fair Future Foundation, dated November 2, 2022.
Dear friends, dear Kawan,
What we have achieved in the space of over 12 months and out of the ordinary, to be very honest. Who could have imagined a few years ago that this village of #Mbinudia and its more than 2500 inhabitants (nearly 70% of whom are children), isolated from everything, without road access worthy of the name, without clean water, without electricity, without school too, would it be today what it has become? Who could have even dreamed of it as it seemed impossible to do? Who? To be very honest, not me.
And yet, today, as I write these few lines, we are proud to tell you that we have built a considerable school –#sdmbinudita-the most beautiful in all of Sumba, say the authorities, but you know that already. And that the more than one hundred children who frequent it now have access to clean water. For the first time in their life, they can open a tap and drink quality water, in infinite quantities, without getting sick or risking their lives.

So far, the teams of Fair Future and Kawan Baik foundations have already built, as part of the #waterconnections project, the site of #mbinudita, more than thirty (30) tanks of more than 6000 litres, six (6) complete sanitary facilities including two toilets, showers, laundry washing and water collection point. More than 10,000 meters of PVC pipes have been buried, connecting all these installations. We still have a lot of work to do. It’s an intense activity, as it should be noted that we are in the process of building eight (8) healthy sanitary installations.
2022 is already well underway, and we are not stopping. The programs continue and are also developing. We encourage you to check out all our news here to find out.
The Swiss Fair Future Foundation is a foundation board member, and all those who work here voluntarily in the field (Alex and Elisa) encourage you to support the foundation’s programs by donating. It’s only to help us help them. To do this, click on this link Kawan. Thank you so much.
We wish you a beautiful day wherever you are. Remember to take care of yourself and everyone you love. It is the most important.
