The Foundation has created an illustrated book for the young in the ultra-rural areas of eastern Indonesia. Where knowing how to read and write is not shared. It will serve as a reference book and gather most of the information on a better lifestyle, the tips and tricks that are “normal” but that most don’t know here. Here it is in its preview version. There are still about ten pages missing in the process of colouring.
Through the Primary Medical Care program, Kawan Sehat health workers provide treatment for fevers, wounds, and malaria in villages lacking access to doctors. They carry essential medicines, adhere to established medical protocols, and refer emergency cases promptly to prevent delays in care.

We Are The Future: A Unique Approach to Change
At Fair Future Foundation, our unique approach is built on direct involvement. We work side by side with communities, teaching and building together for lasting impact. From infrastructure to education and healthcare, we ensure every project is sustainable and empowers those who benefit from it. Discover how we create change that lasts, without outsourcing or shortcuts. We are the future.
The Field Innovation category documents practical solutions developed to improve healthcare delivery in ultra-rural settings. It covers field-tested tools, operational methods, and digital systems designed for environments with limited infrastructure, staff, and connectivity. Articles present innovations such as clinical decision support, data collection, logistics coordination, and community-based reporting. These solutions strengthen primary medical care, support safe task shifting, and improve continuity of care. All initiatives are tested in real conditions and aligned with WHO health system principles, focusing on usefulness, safety, and measurable impact rather than technology for its own sake.

A Word from Alex – Fair Future Foundation
On this page, Alex shares his reflections on his life experiences and his ideas about the foundation’s efforts, future plans, and the communities we serve. Each post invites you to engage with us to appreciate the spirit of humanity that fuels our mission.
Together we can make it
Let’s do it together and hold hands to reach the moon. Ensure that the primary medical care program for children can continue as the needs are enormous here in eastern Indonesia. Malaria is ravaging, expectations are high, and we lack the means to buy medical equipment, medicines and everything they all need to get better…
The Interactive Map of Water Connections Project
Fair Future develops participatory monitoring tools as part of its screening and definition of needs. This map is produced as part of the #WaterConnections project. It is updated as a new sewerage installation, a new deep borehole, a new clean water reservoir and everything that directly or indirectly affects this project is built. This Google map allows us to work, do this project and calculate: Heights, elevations, distances, depths etc… Thanks to this tool, this project is much easier to set up.
Clean water and sanitation for a magic trick
For a few months -thanks to the Water Connections program–, the families are feeling healthier, happier and have much more energy. The villagers, who are 100% farmers, are much less sick, and they are in better health. Vegetable gardens are created, and an economy is built. Women and children spend much less time fetching water from wells far from homes. As a result, children spend more time in school, and adults have more time to do things they couldn’t do before. On the other hand, water remains the absolute priority of each of the 250 families of #mbinudita, well before everything else! Today, we are building healthy sanitary facilities for the village and the villagers. Like all other families living in ultra-rural areas, people have never had access to toilets or a place to bathe or do laundry.
