Fair Future has been working for more than fifteen years to provide social and medical assistance to populations mainly from the rural and ultra-peripheral world, whose life or health are threatened.
Social, medical or humanitarian action occurs when political action has failed or is in crisis. Fair Future does not seek to replace political power but to relieve suffering.
Deploying relief and care in mostly inaccessible regions, hundreds of kilometres away requires complex organization and significant resources.
For example, transporting equipment, medicines and everything needed to treat, operating on hundreds of patients in a single day, or drilling a well to provide access to clean water, mobilizes qualified human resources and significant financial resources. Fair Future is a small organization and does not always have the financial resources to respond favourably to all the requests it receives. We are constantly looking for resources and help.
Fair Future’s action consists of assisting populations in distress. But providing health or medical care, clean and safe water, food, or medical treatment goes well beyond a simple medico-social gesture. We define our humanitarian action as not solely an act of generosity or charity. All these actions aim to restore normality that is respectful of everyone when everything seems abnormal.
Beyond the logistical, material, medical, social or infrastructural aid that Fair Future and its partners are likely to provide, we want to enable individuals to regain their rights and dignity and offer them the best we can, even if it is sometimes tricky because we would like to do much more.
And as an independent organization, made up of 100% volunteers with members of our board active in the field 365 days a year, we act, we testify, intending to help, but also to induce change, to denounce injustices.
A beautiful day to you from Sumba East.

What is this image gallery about? Discover the contexts and situations in which Fair Future teams intervene to provide care, including crisis and natural disaster situations, and how and why we adapt our activities to each. Days of care like the one we present to you below we do dozens of them a year, and they are adapted to people from rural areas, who, for the most part, have never seen a doctor before us. Thank you so much for your interest Kawan.
