Fair Future’s PrimaryMedicalCare: Ushering a New Era of Health and Empowerment in East Sumba.
Witness the transformative journey of East Sumba’s healthcare landscape, where Fair Future’s vision meets the resilience of local communities.
With #PrimaryMedicalCare, we’re not just treating diseases; we’re nurturing a future where every person in East Sumba has the right to health, driven by community strength and women’s empowerment. This is our commitment, our mission, our revolution.
#PrimaryMedicalCare: A Revolutionary Approach to Healthcare in Ultra-Rural Areas: The #PrimaryMedicalCare program we are implementing in East Sumba is a pioneering initiative, offering a practical and effective alternative to the ongoing challenge of accessing medical care in ultra-rural regions. This unique program proves its effectiveness month after month, radically transforming community health.
At the heart of #PrimaryMedicalCare is a strategy of women’s empowerment. The women, health agents of Kawan Sehat, are the driving force behind this program. In their hands, medicines and medical equipment become tools for change. They bring essential care directly to their villages, often isolated and hard to reach, thus filling the gap left by the absence of traditional medical facilities.
The supply of medicines and medical equipment through the #TruckOfLife is a vital component of this program. By regularly stocking 60 local “Kawan Sehat” pharmacies, we ensure not only access to basic medical treatments but also ongoing support for these extraordinary women. They are trained to use these resources effectively, providing primary healthcare, administering treatments, and carrying out preventive interventions.
The success of the #PrimaryMedicalCare program lies in its ability to adapt to the specific needs of the communities it serves. By focusing on education, prevention, and basic treatments, it creates a sustainable and self-reliant healthcare model. Through this program, we see tangible improvements in villagers’ health, especially in children and the elderly, who are most vulnerable to diseases.
#PrimaryMedicalCare is not just a response to the lack of medical care access; it’s a pathway towards autonomy, resilience, and an improved quality of life for the ultra-rural communities of East Sumba. It powerfully illustrates how innovation, combined with community engagement, can transform the health and wellbeing of an entire region.

Ultrasound Access: A Lifeline for Remote Indonesian Communities
Support Fair Future Foundation’s Mission to Equip Ultra-Rural Areas with Portable Ultrasound Technology
Fair Future Foundation’s call to action for portable ultrasound scanners is a mission to save lives and empower women in Eastern Indonesia’s most isolated areas. This critical medical device brings not only diagnostic capabilities but hope to regions where healthcare is a daily struggle.
The portable ultrasound is essential for pregnancy monitoring in places with no electricity, working in tandem with our self-sufficient Medical Truck #TruckOfLife. It represents hope—a beacon that turns the tide against preventable maternal and infant mortality.
We appeal to your generosity for CHF 4’366, an investment that saves lives and ensures that no woman is left behind.
