It documents how primary medical care, disease prevention, and early intervention reduce morbidity and mortality where access to healthcare is absent. Articles address infectious diseases, maternal and child health, hygiene, vaccination, and community education, aligned with WHO recommendations. Beyond theory, this section presents concrete medical practices carried out on the ground by trained local health agents, highlighting how prevention remains the most effective and sustainable medical act in vulnerable populations.

In East Sumba, there is a shortage of medication which has reached a critical level, almost bordering on a crisis. However, there is hope in the form of Fair Future and Kawan Baik’s medical care day. This initiative provided treatment to almost 200 patients and gave them a chance at living healthier lives.
Kawan Sehat healthcare workers are doing more than just transforming healthcare; they are saving lives in the most remote areas of Indonesia. These amazing women provide vital medical care, overcome obstacles, and challenge traditional gender roles in their communities.
A crucial meeting took place in Waingapu, where a project called #WaterConnections Laindatang was launched. The project aims to provide clean water and sanitation in East Sumba, and it is a collaborative effort between communities, the state, and NGOs such as Fair Future and Kawan Baik.
