Tirza, a Dedicated Kawan Sehat Agent, Demonstrates Her Role in Providing Essential Healthcare in Remote East Sumba to Health Authorities.
This new “Picture of the Day” features Tirza, one of our Kawan Sehat health workers, enthusiastically demonstrating her role alongside Ayu, the Director of Kawan Baik Indonesia. Tirza is equipped with a medical backpack filled with essential medicines and supplies, providing insight into her work in the ultra-rural areas of East Sumba.
During her presentation to an audience of state health officials, directors of local health centres (Puskesmas), and our own teams, Tirza discussed the challenges she faces in the field and the impact of her efforts. She emphasizes the importance of collaboration in ensuring everyone has access to basic healthcare, preventive advice, and practical tools for protecting themselves from illness and injury.
Tirza showcases the contents of her backpack, explaining how each item supports her daily mission of delivering primary healthcare to communities that lack access to medical services. Her dedication illustrates the effectiveness of the Primary Medical Care program in remote areas, demonstrating that even basic supplies can prevent illness, manage injuries, and provide life-saving assistance.
As a volunteer, Tirza’s enthusiasm for her work is evident. Her commitment to helping others embodies the impact of community healthcare and aligns with Fair Future’s vision of empowering health workers to bring about meaningful changes in their communities.
