I wanted to share an update regarding the Laindatang drilling project (phase 3 of Water Connections). Our team has worked tirelessly for over nine months in highly challenging conditions.
Unfortunately, we have decided to temporarily halt the drilling process due to technical, geological, and practical reasons. We believe continuing in these harsh conditions with almost no chance of finding a stable water table is futile.
Starting tomorrow, October 5th, 2024, our team will shift its focus to building a 100-cubic-meter underground rainwater tank. This tank is designed to provide filtered rainwater storage to 300 people who currently lack access to water.
Once this essential resource is completed, we will resume our drilling efforts, remaining hopeful and committed to achieving success. Our primary goal is to ensure access to water and save lives.
We truly appreciate your understanding and support during this challenging time for all of us. Your encouragement means a lot to the entire team.
Thank you for your continued support – Alex
