Humanitarian jobs and field positions
Paid roles grounded in medical and field realities
Working with Fair Future Foundation
Founded in Switzerland and officially registered in 2008, Fair Future Foundation is a medical and humanitarian organisation working directly in underserved and ultra-rural contexts. Our work focuses on concrete health outcomes rather than short-term interventions.
Since the outset, our teams have operated on the ground in Indonesia, particularly in regions such as East Sumba, where access to healthcare, clean water, and basic infrastructure remains limited. Our programmes are built around primary medical care, infectious disease prevention, access to clean water, community health education, and essential infrastructure.
More than 93% of our resources are allocated directly to field programmes. We work in close collaboration with local communities, health agents, and authorities, ensuring that solutions are sustainable, medically sound, and locally anchored.
Working with Fair Future means engaging in paid humanitarian roles that require professional skills, ethical rigour, and long-term commitment. If you are interested in joining our team, please review the general employment conditions carefully before applying.

We have open positions
Digital Content and Social Media Officer full time
A field-facing role to turn real work into clear, accurate communication, without exaggeration and without noise.
Fair Future Foundation is seeking a full-time Digital Engagement and Social Media Content Assistant to support our medical and humanitarian programs in Indonesia. This role helps document concrete outcomes across Primary Medical Care, access to clean water, prevention, and community-based projects, with a strong focus on accuracy and respect.
You will work closely with our team to produce short field updates, structured captions, and reliable content for web and social platforms. The goal is simple: communicate what is happening on the ground with clarity, while protecting dignity and ensuring that information remains medically and socially sound. You will also support basic planning and publishing workflows, keeping content consistent across channels.
We are looking for a candidate who writes well, works fast without losing precision, and understands that humanitarian communication is a responsibility. English is required. Indonesian is strongly preferred. Experience in NGO communication, editorial work, or documentation is an advantage.

Technical specialist water systems and medical compliance
Water is not only infrastructure. It is disease prevention, hygiene, and public health in its most concrete form.
We are seeking a Technical Specialist to support the field implementation of water systems linked to community health outcomes. This position contributes directly to reducing water-related disease risks through safe water access, reliable infrastructure, and practical standards adapted to ultra-rural settings.
You will support planning and execution for reservoirs, pumping systems, distribution, and basic filtration when relevant. A key part of the role is ensuring hygiene and safety standards and coordinating with field teams to keep systems maintained and functional long after installation. Technical documentation and practical maintenance guidance are part of the work.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical background in water systems and field readiness. You must be able to work with constraints, solve problems quickly, and communicate clearly with local teams.
Understanding the public health implications of water quality is essential.

Communications and community engagement
In humanitarian work, communication is not decoration. It is coordination, trust, and prevention.
Fair Future Foundation is seeking a Communications and Community Engagement Specialist to support transparent and consistent messaging across our medical and humanitarian programs. This role connects field realities with the information needs of communities, partners, and supporters, while keeping communication factual and respectful.
You will draft and structure website and social channel updates, support community-oriented communication, and help develop educational and prevention content.
The work requires precision and the ability to communicate complex realities without simplifying the truth. Coordination with local partners and internal teams is part of the role, with a focus on community trust and public health.
We are looking for a strong writer who is organised, reliable, and comfortable working in a field-oriented environment. Experience in NGO communication is a plus. Interest in disease prevention, education, and community-based work is expected.

Strategic fundraising and donor engagement
Funding is not a goal. It is what allows medical care, clean water, and prevention work to continue without interruption.
We are seeking a Strategic Fundraising and Donor Engagement Coordinator to support sustainable funding for our medical and humanitarian programs. This role is built on transparency, accountability, and long-term relationships, with a strong focus on transparent reporting and responsible use of resources.
You will support donor communication, proposals, and follow-up, and help structure narratives backed by measurable outcomes, field evidence, and budgets. You will also help strengthen partnerships that support medical care, water access, and prevention programs.
This is not marketing work. It is relationship-based coordination grounded in facts.
We are looking for a candidate with experience in fundraising, partnerships, or grant writing. Strong writing skills and comfort with budgets and reporting are essential.
A strong NGO accountability mindset is required.
