Malaria prevention project in East Sumba advances with IRS and new education efforts
Three weeks ago, the Fair Future Foundation initiated the implementation phase of its 2025 Malaria Prevention Project in East Sumba. The progress is proceeding as planned. The indoor residual spraying (IRS) campaign has been completed successfully, enhancing malaria protection efforts. Furthermore, twenty information billboards about malaria prevention and symptom recognition have been installed in high-risk areas.
This week marks the start of the project’s educational segment, which focuses on a region heavily affected by malaria. The initiative aims to enhance awareness, encourage early treatment, and diminish transmission rates.
We extend our gratitude to our partners, Malaria Partners International, Rotary Australia, Kawan Baik Indonesia, and the East Sumba Regency Government, for their invaluable support in combating malaria. Together, we are working towards #ZeroMalaria.
