Hundreds of patients in remote villages receive care each week from our Kawan Sehat health workers trained in the Primary Medical Care Programme. In the absence of doctors or clinics nearby, these trained women provide lifesaving care for fevers, malaria, wounds, and infections. Your support helps keep this lifeline alive.

This picture shows Hambarita water reservoir plaques resting on the grass moments before installation. Each plate carries a local name because water is treated like kin. When a tank is called by name, people maintain it, clean gutters, and guard the lid. Eight new reservoirs will store rain, cut disease, and return time to families.
Fair Future is pleased to release the final report of the Water Connections project in Hambarita. Over several months, eight ferrocement reservoirs were built, providing clean water to dozens of families. A serious effort, real impact, and lives transformed—thanks to all of you.
Eight ferro-cement reservoirs in Hambarita now provide safe, filtered water to 120 people. Built with local skills, they improve health, hygiene, and quality of life for decades in one of East Sumba’s most remote areas.
In Laindatang, eight ferrocement reservoirs now provide clean water, transforming health and reducing disease. With a 113m³ tank underway, this project reshapes life for hundreds in an ultra-rural community.
For the past three years, Fair Future has been constructing water reservoirs in Laindatang to guarantee access to clean water. However, four remote families continue to face difficulties. With only four additional reservoirs needed, we can complete this important work. Help us take the final step toward providing every household in this community with secure access to water.
We purchased a pump to test at the Laindatang drilling site for the Water Connections Phase 3 project. Over the past three days, we’ve been testing the pump to determine if the water flow is sufficient for 600 people after six months of drilling.

From April 17 to 24, Fair Future hosted five members of the Rotary Club Australia. They visited East Sumba to learn about our work, including clean water projects and efforts to combat diseases like malaria and dengue. Together, we distributed SolarBuddy lights and promoted healthy living. We deeply appreciated their support.
