The Fair Future Foundation in East Indonesia combats social and medical injustice and aims to ensure everyone has access to healthcare, clean water, and education. Join us in making a difference.
Fair Future’s mission is simple: saving lives through access to water, health, and education in remote areas.
Fair Future’s medical teams, led by Dr. Narni, offer vital healthcare services to remote villages in East Sumba. Utilizing the Truck of Life, they address illnesses, combat malnutrition, and advocate for clean water access to ensure no community is overlooked. Their commitment is essential in regions where healthcare remains out of reach and infectious diseases go unchecked.
Kawan Sehat health agents deliver essential medical care in remote regions where healthcare access is unavailable. Armed with new medical kits, they provide vital first aid, treat common illnesses, and work to prevent infections in vulnerable communities.
In the remote communities of East Sumba, 20 new Kawan Sehat health agents have been certified through the Primary Medical Care program. These 19 women and one man are now essential providers of life-saving care in their villages, which lack formal healthcare facilities. Their dedication and increasing proficiency are crucial for the well-being of their communities, representing a significant milestone in rural healthcare.
We’ve created dozens of recycled-material bags, marked with the Red Cross logo, to carry life-saving medical supplies for Kawan Sehat health agents. These bags, filled with medicines, disinfectants, and medical tools, will be loaded onto the Truck of Life as we begin the third year of our #PrimaryMedicalCare program in East Sumba.
For over three years, Fair Future’s Life Truck has provided essential medical care, medicines, and supplies to remote communities in Indonesia. This mobile unit supports primary health care, water connections, and malaria prevention to ensure access to essential resources for well-being.
Kawan Sehat is expanding! We’re excited to introduce a new page in our children’s book promoting healthy living. This new section focuses on the dangers of smoking, especially secondhand smoke, which harms non-smokers, including children. This new page will be added to our Kawan Sehat book. Smoking is not healthy—smoking kills. Don’t smoke.
We’re excited to introduce a new guidebook for teachers and storytellers using our Kawan Sehat book for children in isolated rural areas. This guide offers a clear, step-by-step approach to explaining the book effectively, ensuring that vital information is consistently and clearly conveyed. It will be distributed to all teachers along with the Kawan Sehat book.
