Support Vulnerable Communities with In-kind Donations
Providing Resources for Healthcare, Education, and Emergency Relief
Donate Items and Make a Tangible Difference
In-kind donations play a crucial role in Fair Future’s mission to deliver sustainable solutions to ultra-rural communities across Southeast Asia.
Unlike monetary gifts, these contributions enable individuals and organizations to directly supply the tools and resources necessary for life-changing improvements. Whether it involves medical supplies, construction materials, educational resources for schools, or essential items like bedding and clothing, such donations allow us to provide immediate and practical answers to urgent challenges.
We encourage you to donate items that can be repurposed to aid our programs, including clean water initiatives, healthcare services, education efforts, and emergency response activities. Whether you have belongings you’re ready to part with or choose to buy new materials for donation, your contribution will make a significant difference.
You can deliver donations to our logistics center in Denpasar or arrange for direct transport to our Base Camp in East Sumba, where they will be distributed to communities in need. Whether you’re an individual, business, or school, your support through in-kind contributions has a ripple effect that empowers communities and fosters resilience.
If you have any questions or wish to arrange a donation, please reach out to us. Together, we can supply vital resources to those who need them the most. Your generosity has the power to transform lives and lay the groundwork for lasting change.
Together we can make significant strides towards building a fairer and healthier future for those who need it most. Thank you very much,

What can you donate?
Educational Support for Schools and Children
Empowering children begins with access to education. We welcome donations that help us equip schools and learning centers. Educational books for all levels, school supplies such as notebooks, pencils, rulers, and chalkboards, interactive learning games, and uniforms are always needed. Laptops, tablets, and functional computer equipment can make a world of difference for children in remote areas, helping them stay connected to knowledge. Classroom furnitureβdesks, tables, and chairs in good conditionβensures children have a space to learn and grow.
Medical Equipment and Supplies for Health Centers and the Medical Truck
Access to healthcare saves lives. We need sterile syringes, medical gloves, bandages, dressings, disinfectants, and small surgical kits to provide essential care. Diagnostic tools such as stethoscopes, thermometers, blood pressure monitors, and malaria or polio tests help us respond to medical emergencies. Mobility aids like wheelchairs and crutches are essential for patients. Donations of maternity and newborn care equipment are critical to ensure safe births. Our Medical Truck also relies on PPE, infusion kits, and diagnostic devices to reach isolated communities in need of care.
Tools and Equipment for Construction and Water Infrastructure Projects
Building sustainable infrastructure is key to improving living conditions. Our projects need construction toolsβhammers, saws, drills, and wrenchesβalong with materials such as cement, wood, and rebar. Donations of solar panels, batteries, and converters are essential to power water pumps for clean water access. We also need plumbing fittings, PVC pipes, and water tanks to complete wells and water systems. Proper safety gearβhelmets, boots, and glovesβensures the well-being of our teams during construction.
Clothing, Bedding, and Household Items for Families in Need
In ultra-rural areas, basic items can make a big difference. We welcome clean and gently used clothing for children and adults, as well as shoes suitable for the terrainβsandals, boots, and more. Bedding donations like blankets, sheets, and mattresses help families stay comfortable and ensure our health centers can care for patients overnight. Books and toys bring joy and learning opportunities to children. Your contributions provide dignity, warmth, and well-being to families with limited resources.
Support for Emergency Situations and Disaster Relief
Our teams are always ready to respond to emergencies such as natural disasters or health crises. Your donations can directly support relief operationsβwhether through first aid kits, flashlights, batteries, or tarps for temporary shelters. We are committed to reaching remote areas quickly, ensuring that affected communities receive the immediate assistance they need to rebuild and recover.

The essentials
Primary Medical Care (PMC)
Lifeβsaving care where no doctors are available
In villages without clinics, our Kawan Sehat health agentsβmostly womenβprovide first aid, wound treatment, antimalarials, antibiotics, fever management, and referrals. They see 700β1,000 patients each month across East Sumba. Ongoing training and resupplyβguided by a 150βpage manual and regular intensive sessionsβensure care remains safe and consistent. Your support funds medicines, diagnostics, and supervision that save lives.
Clean Water Connections
Every drop collected is a life protected.
Since 2019, we have constructed dozens of ferro-cement tanks ranging from 5,000 to 5,350 litres, working alongside families, and a 115 mΒ³ reservoir in Laindatang to ensure access to clean water. New projects in Lapinu add more tanks and sanitation blocks. Access to water reduces diarrheal diseases, improves nutrition, and enables girls to remain in school. Simple tools, local labour, and durable designs enable communities to maintain these systems independently.
Kawan Against Malaria
Prevention, diagnosis, treatmentβvillage by village
Malaria remains endemic in East Sumba. We deploy long-lasting insecticidal nets (LLINs), rapid blood tests, treatment, and IRS planning where needed. Our Umalulu baseline study maps hotspots and practices to guide action. Health agents educate families on night protection, early testing, and correct dosing. With consistent nets, diagnostics, and training, we reduce casesβand save lives.
Light for Education β SolarBuddy
When night falls, learning continues.
In 2025, we gained tax-free approval to distribute 2,224 SolarBuddy lamps for children and schools without electricity. The lamps charge during the day and provide light for homework, safety, and community study at night. Larger units support classrooms; smaller units are given to students. A yearly pipeline now helps us reach more villages. Light improves attendance, reading time, and learning outcomes.
Womenβs Empowerment & Training
From caregivers to certified community health leaders
Most Kawan Sehat are women. Through intensive training, field coaching, and a modular 15-chapter curriculum, they gain clinical skills, triage methods, prevention tools, and record-keeping. Certification boosts confidence, income opportunities, and community respect. When women lead care locally, families seek help earlier, and health indicators improve for everyoneβespecially children.
Prevention & Health Education
Posters, school sessions, community talks
We run an expanding range of prevention campaigns: tobacco harms, waste & water safety, alcohol risks, and sexual health/STIs. Materials are designed for all literacy levels, printed on fabric for durability, and delivered by health agents in homes and schools. Clear visuals plus simple steps = real behaviour change that prevents illness before it begins.
Support Logistics β The Trucks of Life
If supplies donβt move, care doesnβt happen
Our medical truck and the Truck nβ Load carry up to four tonnes of medicines, solar gear, and water-system materials across ferries and off-road tracks. Logistics also enables emergency runs, resupply for agents, and equipment installations. This backbone turns donations into delivered careβon time, in the hardest places. Fuel, tyres, maintenance: all mission-critical.
Volunteer With Us
Field, workshop, or remoteβthereβs a role for you
Join on the ground in Sumba, lend skills in Bali or Switzerland, or help remotely with medical logistics, translation, mapping, media, grants or education content. We prioritise practical impact, safety, and clear tasks. Short missions and long commitments are both welcome. Your time can build a reservoir, train a health agentβor light a classroom.
Transparency & Swiss Expertise
Trust earned through experience and integrity
Since 2008, +/- 93% of every franc has directly funded fieldwork. Accounts are approved annually by the Foundation Board, certified auditors, and Swiss authorities. We operate with minimal overhead and only local salaries, depending on volunteer efforts and strict controls. Precision, accountability, Swiss Expertise and results drive every franc we allocate.
InβKind & Medical Donations
From a bandage to a solar panelβeverything counts
We accept medical supplies (bandages, infusion sets, RDTs, malaria medication), water system materials, and educational and solar equipment. Thanks to our customs approvals, large humanitarian shipments can arrive taxβfree and be tracked to their destination. Donate items in Sumba, Denpasar, or Switzerlandβour team ensures they reach those where they can save the most lives.
